This is a late review, we visited Salsa, Mexican restaurant. It was late in the evening around eight. They closeing at nine yet the food is still delicious and service great. We had a queso fundido. She started with the appetizer I had a sizzling steak fajita plate. My wife had combination plate. My son had a taco with fries and ketchup then we ordered two steak burritos and an enchiladas plate to go. Next time I come in I’m gonna to order the Mocahete. I heard Denver foodie left a good review on it. The food is decent for Wheat Ridge but definitely not a place to go if you are looking for true authentic Mexican food. Also, depending on whos working the staff is a hit n miss. They charge extra for "everything" even for basic chips and salsa and prepare to pay for "to go" containers.. Sometimes you get cool staff but most the time they lack cust service skills. This restaurant is such a treat. I dropped in for a takeout order and from the moment that I walked in the door I was treated in such a warm and friendly manner. Samantha greeted me right away and helped me make my delicious food selections. She simply could not have been more lovely. This is a locally owned business, it’s colorfully decorated, and the food has wonderful flavors! Good food with even better Micheladas Green chili is flavorful and the Mexican Hamburger is always good. If you want something a little more authentic go for the combo plates. The food was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the carnitas tacos. I can't give a 4.5 rating and I'm only giving them a 4 because it's ridiculous that I had to pay for a full price drink for a Styrofoam to go cup. This is a very calm yet quick place. What I mean by that you see a lot of people go in and out. That's just how great and fast the service is. It is calm so you can enjoy your food. The features, I'd love them. Looks very nice from inside you would never guess that. The food was delicious! The best part of it was that it tastes authentic and HOME MADE. My husband's taste buds got thrown back 20 years. Yeah, right? 😂 just like his mom's cooking. Surprisingly, their menu is great and offers so much variety from soups, to tacos, tamales, meal platters, desserts and alcohol. The pricing is reasonable. Overall, it was a great pleasant experience!

I've been coming here for years and the food is always good! The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and respectful! It's nice and clean. Parking can be a little wonky. Definitely good Mexican food you can't go wrong with any of the entrees.
