I recently visited the San Carlos Valle and was very excited to try a steak as I had heard they're good so I ordered a Ribeye cooked medium. The steak came one side well-done and the other medium-rare - not even seared on that side. I was very disappointed. Asked to sear that side and the steak came entirely well-done. Great food at reasonable prices. The frijoles con veneno (not spicy despite what the name suggests) and the dried meat were awesome. Ad for the cabrito (baby goat), I preferred the pierna (leg) to the paleta. The guava mousse was also very good.

Unfortunately, music was to loud 🔊. I couldn't listen to my mate. I was expecting an impressive Ribeye, I got a skillet with something on it very difficult to chew. Appetizers and salsas were worth enough to save the night.

Very good place to eat cabrito. Used to be the best but now you can tell not everything is going great for them. Even the napkins (used to be cloth) are now offered in a glass...

Got burnt tortillas, and the waiter said that's how they are done there. Also asked for coffee, and the same waiter mentioned that the tab was closed, must have thought that I couldn't afford the coffee.
