We were very excited to visit this restaurant, and it was surprisingly pleasant. The food is very tasty. I ordered Carne Tampiqueña con Camarones and my partner ordered Bandeja Paisa and passion fruit juice. Everything was very well cooked and tasty. The service was good, typical Latin atmosphere. It was my first Columbian restaurant! Was very excited to try something new. The restaurant is very clean and nice. For my entree, I ordered Carne Tampiquena con camarones - sautéed beef and shrimp in a spicy sauce. Rice and sweet plantain. It also came with a side salad. I ordered a side of beans. It was delicious! I loved the beef. It has a vinegar taste which I love! The flavors were perfect. Everything else was tasty as well. My friend ordered Picada- chorizo, morcilla, steak, chicharron, tostones, yuca, arepas, and fries. He loved it. The yuca was so yummy! The portion sizes are great! We each ordered a drink and had an issue, but we just let it go. The service was not good. We enjoyed ourselves and will return. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

EXCELLENT - Matteo was very friendly and accommodating. Service, food, atmosphere, drinks - SUPERB. This is my 4th time eating there over many years. Never disappoints. Consistent. Those who were with me couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. Hefty portions and the drinks are just as hefty. They do not skimp on the alcohol in the drinks - you will feel it so sip slow! Service. Gets a decent rating for the experience that was had the evening I was dining here with my uncle. The server seemed to be gone for long periods of time without checking up on us every 15 minutes which I'm used to when dining out. They need to work on that. But food was phenomenal. I'll be back for sure with my wife steak was cooked medium to perfection and beans was real good. Food get 5 stars from me I also ordered guanabana juice freshly made and that was real good. The food was great, but if you're planning on getting the chicharron with yuca, which I recommend, make sure you have backup cause that could be a whole meal. Normally I don't like to take pictures of my food but this time I broke my rule cause I wanted to show my family how nice it looks before I mess it up. I really love this place, but the way I found it out of the blue, I was just diving back home when I saw it. It was worth it the U turn and the few annoyed drivers. Saoco is definitely a family favorite! We love bringing our friends here or just stopping by for dinner. Saoco is super accommodating when it comes to all of our large gatherings! Every meal is always so fresh and staff is always the nicest! Although I love everything here My favorite dish is the grilled salmon and Avacado salad with rice! They put their own twist on the seasoning for the salmon and it doesn't taste fishy at all! Drinks and appetizers are also great here! I will continue to come here and recommend Saoco! This is the BEST Colombian food in CT. They have a great menu, the food is always fresh and delicious, & they take pride in the presentation of the food which I appreciate. The restaurant itself is spacious and they have a nice bar area. Unlike many restaurants that are small & better suited for take out. They also serve amazing coffee.
