I wish they didn’t have drinks on their menu that they were sold out of. There was only one local wine and no alternative, which was disappointing. The lobster bisque was just okay. The fried fish was pretty good and tasted fresh. The lobster roll was huge.

We were quickly seated and served. The atmosphere was fitting for a Game-Day Sunday. The blood orange ale was a good match for the mildly spicy sweet Bang Bang shrimp appetizer. The bacon cheddar burger with two beef patties and ample serving of sweet potato fries was enough for any appetite. The haddock sandwich was larger than life, or was it just the Sam's Club replacement buns that made it seem that way? Rounded off with blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and whipped topping. What made it all happen was our wonderfully attentive server, Ella, who consented to a photo. Here she is with the pie and Sir Arlen Davis, Senior Fellow of the DownEast Institute for Policy and Research.

We visited Sea Dog Brew Pub on a Wednesday evening with our family of four. We were seated right away, even though the restaurant was busy. Our server was new, but he was very friendly and attentive. He took our drink orders and brought us our menus.
We decided to order a variety of dishes to share. My wife ordered the Beyond Burger, which she said was very good. I had the Sea Dog Stacker, which was a large burger with bacon, cheese, and grilled onions. The burger was good, but the bun was a bit bland. Our children ordered chicken tenders and the kids burger, which they ate all of.
Overall, we had a good experience at Sea Dog Brew Pub. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Pros:
Large selection of beers on tap
Friendly and attentive service
Good food
Reasonable prices
Cons:
Can be loud, especially near the bar
Buns could be a bit more flavorful
Overall:
Sea Dog Brew Pub is a great option for families and groups looking for a casual meal with a good selection of beers.

This is a new location for Sea Dog. I was very happy with my visit. I only popped in to see about truck parking and to grab a beer on my way home. I had a Hazelnut stout and it was amazing!! Sea Dog brews some of the best beers around!!

We’ve been coming here for brunch and have enjoyed it, this last Sunday though we were seated and found out brunch is no longer offered. Its menu is still on the website, there was not even a sign or anything on the door or host stand. We order some sandwiches but they’re out of pastrami bread for the Reuben sandwich, so I went with a burger. It was burnt to a crisp and had a heavy carbon taste like the grill hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, even the cheese was gross. Not sure the issue but if you want to be to the level of barf that the BBQ place that used to be here was, then you have arrived!

My extended family and I came in for an early dinner on a Saturday with 4 young kids who are cousins and were very excited to be together and be out. We were far from the easiest table considering the excited kids and multiple families paying separate. We had Peter as our server and he was terrific. He was extremely patient with the kids and provided excellent service which involved more trips to our table than was reasonable to expect plus a few people changing their minds more than once. He is a great asset to the restaurant and left our family from away with a great memory of our family get together. Thank you Peter!

Two my adult twins for dinner tonight, Sunday at around 7pm. There’s was no wait, very clean, very friendly staff. I ordered a cheeseburger with a gluten free bun. I was not asked how I wanted my burger cooked and the menu did not say that they only cook it one way, so that was did. My daughter had mashed potatoes as her side and said they tasted sour, we enjoyed everything else. My GF bun was pretty good too!

Highly recommend for families! Wide open restaurant. Don’t feel like your on top of one another like most Maine restaurants. Always clean with friendly staff. Waiters are always cognizant of kiddos and placing there order in first so it comes out asap or as soon as you want it. As mom of 2 under 2 this is ideal and very much appreciated when staff offer to get the food out quick! Weekends they have brunch!! Deliciousness!
