This place is located in watamu and it has the best swahili foods and sea foods well done😘it is affordable with good ambiance. I was encouraged to order “king” prawns with rice. You can see the size of the prawns compared to the spoon. These were quite small and only a few of them in the stew for the price of 1500/. The taste was ok, although not fresh prawns. Probably wouldn’t return here.

This was a great spot to try out the local cuisine and sea food. I had some coconut rice, and a barracuda with coconut curry. My Mrs had some chicken biryani. Both meals were very well prepared and tasted awesome! Bonus is that we didn't have to wait long for the meals to be served. Definitely recommend this spot. Local place with delicious and fresh seafood. Place is clean, stuff show lot of hospitality (they will go to shop to buy your favourite beer). Prices are reasonable and place have a vibe. Just after Mida Creek and in Gede, this cafe has the best food and the fact that we were hungry from all the excursions we had in the day. Unfortunately, visiting Watamu or Malindi during Ramadan isn’t the best time as we had to look for cafes/restaurants with authentic Swahili dishes for a while. Glad we found this one and had rice with coconut fish curry which both had the distinct flavour of coconut with the right balance of spices and ingredients. The price point for 3 meals and drinks for 3 people was around 1600 and I found this fairly okay but would say the plain rice portions were a bit smaller and had to order an extra one! Good, fast service even though there was no power at the time and if you go late afternoon, there may be few fresh juice options to choose from. I would recommend it and it is located at Watamu Junction after Gede and a 4.5 for me.
