I ate here regularly over my three weeks in Arugumbay. The food is delicious. I had prawns, red snapper, Kingfish, several more types of fish that I cant recall the name of and calamari. Everything extremely fresh and delicious. Sal is charming and extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Sal's restaurant

Fantastic Hoppers! Savoury: egg spicy and avocado, egg and tomato were amazing. Don’t even get me started on the Nutella and banana one! It’s real Nutella! And such affordable prices. Came here everyday for my breakfast!

Food was Ok, nothing spectacular either. Unfortunately they tried to add a special service charge on the bill, just in case the “tourist” doesn’t notice they would be charging 10% more. With so many restaurants in Arugam, it’s the best way to lose trust and a client. If you still decide to give it a try, check your bill and that the fish you chose is the one they cook for you.

amazing food and super friendly chatting staff! we had the grilled fish that comes with chips and vegi salat... everything tasted delicious and very fresh! support these local guys!!

Excellent place and experience cheaf. Sal is make it delicious seafood and BBQ with beer. Perfect location and quite romantic place. I highly recommend sals seafood restaurant in Arugambay.
