What a fabulous place. We visited in January which is the quiet season in Tunisia, just wished we found them earlier in our stay
We had lunch, Dawn was kind enough to seat us on the outside terrace, this was what we wanted as it was 20C and beautiful sunshine.
Our order was taken in a friendly and relaxed manner, we we delighted with the complimentary nibbles, fresh bread, Harrisa and homegrown olives
I asked for a decent wine, and did I get it, Magon Signature recommended by them, 48.6td or 14 quid was a veritable snip, as good as many wines at the 25 mark in the UK.
I had a deep fried prawns, 22td crispy, refreshingly piping hot after our hotels tepid offerings, my one caveat would be a lemon wedge was absent.
Mains arrived within a more than reasonable time frame, the Sirloin 28td was cooked to perfection with perfectly crispy and hot chips and a neatly dressed salad. Mixed Grill 35td was amazing, juicy steak, succulent chicken, meaty chipolatas, and best of all a homemade burger that was truly memorable, seasoned with onion, salt, pepper and coriander, I want the recipe its that good.
As it was such a lovely day we opted for ice cream, ooh banana and caramel 12std for two scoops both lush.
The bill was a very reasonable 175rd or £50. They take English notes as we as tunisian money so no need to change money you may not use.
Thank you
Lovely little bar in Hammamet. Host was welcoming from the moment we arrived and couldn't do enough to help us out. Good menu with selection of British and Tunisian meals. Girlfriend loved that they had non Tunisian beer for a change of pace. Would definitely visit again.
Apparently the food is amazing ,we waited 1hour for 2prawn cocktails!! We left in the end we were the only people in the whole place !
We tried again the week later and the same again !
