I recently dined at Shalimar Hotel, and my experience presented a mix of delights and disappointments. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu, primarily focusing on BBQ items like kababs and tikkas, along with ready-to-eat dishes.
The ambiance, set in an open sitting arrangement, adds a pleasant touch to the dining experience. However, it's important to note that this might not be the ideal choice in extreme weather conditions due to the absence of a building.
One standout feature was the remarkable tea, elevating the beverage experience. On the flip side, the chapli kabab left something to be desired in terms of taste—it didn't quite meet my expectations.
Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that beef enthusiasts might find the menu somewhat limiting, as beef options were notably absent during my visit. Shalimar Hotel primarily offers dishes centered around mutton and chicken, particularly highlighted in their flavorful karahi and other selections.
Despite the limited beef selection, Shalimar Hotel manages to charm with its diverse range of options, excelling more in poultry and mutton-based dishes. If you're open to exploring these alternatives, the restaurant can still provide a satisfying culinary journey. Shalimar Restaurant has a new building construction is underway but the restaurant management has very smartly turned it into a food park in the front lawn where family huts have separately been made. They have also arranged a indoor sitting area too. Hoerever, I loved the open air sitting. They have also made sure that their hallmark of open air kitchen remains intact. One can choose the meat of his choice, get it cut in his presence and even get cooked in front of his eyes. This adds another level of trust and ownership in the customers and I a big fan of this idea. A must visit place if live in District Khushab or regularly travel on mianwali sargodha Road.

Good food. Fresh meats. Little expensive but good quality. Slow service because of few waiters. Just 3 waits were running in all hall and outside. If you are with family or with friends and want a good service on table then its not a perfect place for you.
Boneless Mutton was amazing.
Restautant has rough condition. Now a days waiter are more technically greedy.every common service try to makeup to charge more tip.if you do not give enough tip your bike head light will be broken and on car one will find scratches. Rest mutton karahi is speciality for what more people like to visit.
Shalimar restaurant and hotel provides you with one of the best desi food in Jauharabad.
They are famous for their chicken and mutton karahi.
Sitting area is good, have proper dine in for family and friends.
The only thing they are not so good in are the guest rooms.
