I stopped here on my scenic route to San Antonio. It's a sleepy little community full of charming people. I needed a bite to eat and something to drink so I pulled into this little place, typical gas station layout. You can tell its the happening place in town because of all the deli choices of hot foods. The cashiers were very pleasant. But what i really want to emphasize in this review is that their homemade chicken tenders were the best I have ever had. I would like to think that I am a chicken tender connoisseur because they are my favorite thing to eat. I stop at every chicken place i possibly can to get them, especially on road trips. The chicken tenders at this little gas station were amazing!!! THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!! That Sunday on my way back home I specifically went through Marquez again so that I could get them again but they weren't available. They had some little precooked frozen tenders that weren't horrible but not good either. They (the frozen ones) were way over-priced. Apparently the fresh homemade ones are only available at certain times on certain days. I was so disappointed. But if you get the chance and you can catch them when they're making the fresh homemade ones, i promise you will be very happy that you did!!!

Was told by employee something would be ready in 30 minutes. Came back 40 minutes later only to be told " we are kinda busy so not going to make that". So glad I waited 40 minutes for nothing. Not a very good way of doing business with a customer that spends over a 1,000 dollars a month at your store. That will be changing.

My family stopped into the restaurant to purchase hamburgers on the way home from Hearn and the cook by the name of Candy was rude, very unfriendly, and had a look if disgust on her face when she saw us ordering . After my husband realized how rude she was being we decided not to order. I would not recommend this place at all.

One of the ladies at the counter is highly unfriendly towards people from out of town and makes it blatantly obvious. One gas pump is broken and has been for sometime. Also a lot of the cooked food has been sitting there for hours. The onky thing safe is the burgers because then they make it fresh, however they dont use gloves to make it and Ive never seen them wash their hands. I only go here if I have to and everywhere else is closed.
