Incredible meal.. Staff and owners are amazing... So welcoming, kind and attentive... The meatball appetizer, mussels appetizer, linguine with clams and daily mahi-mahi fish special were incredible. Everything was so authentic, homemade pasta, everything was cooked perfectly and clearly made with so much passion and love. It must do when in zihua!!! The only place that I order lasagna. Creamy with layers of ultra thin homemade noodles, delicious spicing and just enough meat and cheese to compliment, but not overpower the delicacy of the dish. Thea, Ricardo and their staff provide friendly, professional service. It is my favorite restaurant in Zihautanejo.❤️ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Delicious hand made pasta. Great service. Reasonable prices. Hard working owners and staff. The portion size needs to be bigger. Went with a party of people and all said they were still hungry after the meal. The bruschetta could use more cheese and basil and definitely less garlic. Other than that this is a gem of a place. Went for the first time, lasagna was melt in your mouth, I loved it. Beef stew was excellent on Thursdays . We arrived at opening without a reservation so it felt a bit rushed, we wished you could book online.. We will look forward to going again, excellent meal😊 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a GEM of a restaurant to stumble upon! Our new favorite in Zihuatanejo! The service was incredible, we ordered bread salad, eggplant parmesan and the homemade pasta special which was an anchovy pasta (don’t even think about it- just order it) and the “salami” chocolate dessert. The pasta is on the short list of the best I have ever had. So beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. I am on my flight home and attempting to find the recipe. It was a beautiful meal served with love that shines through their dishes and the entire dining experience. This is a must try restaurant! I was so excited to try Shiimia, I made a reservation for 4 on Wednesday for Saturday at 7. Showed up right at 7 to be given a small table in the corner with terrible chairs. I said we couldn’t sit on the chairs, 4 adults on tiny stools… we were told too bad. Felt totally devalued as a person and my care to reserve a table for us and our friends really was of no importance at all to what I assume was the owner. I wouldn’t try to reserve at Shimia again, too many other restaurants in Zihua that would treat me with more respect than I was treated tonight. Very delicious food and great service too! We've been twice since we got to town and everything has been top notch here. The flavors are very authentic and everything is fresh and amazing! The owners are very friendly and welcoming and we can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!
