Cozy neighborhood restaurant. Very welcoming! Outstanding and entertaining wait staff. And then there's the food! Three adults and two kids left nothing on the table. Too bad we were transits as the would become our go to seafood restaurant hands down! Absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety off of things of the menu to try. The crab was nicely seasoned and so was the shrimp. The fried pickles and crab dip are a must try if they have them! THE GOODMANS

This was our choice before we came to Summerville, South Carolina for the weekend. Wish I remembered our server because she was beyond excellent and a bartender. Black women with curly black hair. She new the food! Excellent cod and fries! We had charred oysters that were delicious too! Noisy. You stick to the floor. An hour wait turned into almost two hours. Our server was sweet but it didn't make up for the mediocre food. Seems like a fun spot to hang out though if you're just looking to get a drink at a dive bar just don't come during peak hours. In town for work, and we decided to stop by. I can't say enough good about this place! The service was the best I've had in a long time, anywhere in my travels. The atmosphere was fun, upbeat with plenty of TV screens to watch, and the food was absolutely phenomenal! Best steamed oysters I've ever had! Will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again. Our family of 5 heading to Charleston for the night looking for some fresh hot Seafood. Well we found just what we were looking for @ The Shack. Place was a little busy as expected for Friday night. So we walked the little shops ,perfect pass time. Once seated, we were immediately greeted, served waters and appetizers ordered. My family likes to ask many questions about the food they are interested in, our Server Kayla was patient, knowledgeable, made great recommendations and spent time with my family as if we were the only customers in the place. The food arrived hot, fresh, tasty!!!! I don't normally take the time to review places but this place deserves it. GO EAT HERE!!! Been here several times and have had Felicia as our waitress almost every time. She is the most attentive, amazing waitress we've EVER HAD!!! She makes you feel right at home. We absolutely love her! Amazing food and amazing service! Thank you Jessie. First time trying this restaurant and definitely coming back. Food was SO good and served HOT. For a Saturday night it wasn’t a long wait, theirs nearby stores to entertain you while you wait. This place was awesome, even though it's a bar, it's still kid friendly. The food was amazing, you get what you paid for and the atmosphere was perfect for an oyster shack.
