Local thai food restaurant. Popular among locals here. Went to try on a weekend.
Food was really just average. Nothing stands out in particular. Tom yum soup was sweet as per local taste.
Plenty of parking outdoor available at a field nearby.
To be honest, not really authentic thai food at all.

Decided to give it a try as recommended by a very kind grab driver. I patronised before the crowd, around 530pm, ordered and got my food within 15 minutes. Daging harimau menangis & kerabu Maggi. The sauce in the noodles way too sweet to my personal preference & the maggi was half cooked, probably it's their signature. However the beef was tender & juicy, some of the pieces were dry but overall pleasant. Very spacious & ample of parking. One good thing worth mentioning, e-payments are made available to people who don't carry cash like me 😉

Perut Sumbat Daging Bakar
Too crowded during weekend or public holidays. We ordered pulut mangga, daging rimau menangis and kerabu maggi.
Pulut mangga is half hearted, mango is sour, pulut is not rich and gravy too sweet and borderline bad coconut taste.

We were attended by an excellent waiter. The food is alright but not great. Grilled beef and its dipping sauce is unique but I must say, expensive. Pulut mangga really bad. Got sour plain mango and dry sticky rice (which is not sweet). Supposedly roast kerang but turned out kerang wrapped in tin foil and thrown onto the fire grill, taste just like steamed kerang. The rest of the dishes (refer pictures) is okay. The car park is spacious.

Good place for family dining just need to remember during weekend or school holiday it will pack with people. This will affect their service efficiency.
Food overall just ok. Portion was good and some of it quite expensive for food court style. But overall its still good.

Sangkaya Steam Bread
Get ready to be transported back to Thailand because the food here is on another level.
Not only is it very spacious, but there are also Siam vibes all around from the signboards in various languages to the huge variety of Siam food that I’ve never even heard of!
The Harimau Menangis is super soft and juicily marinated, so addictive that I ordered 4 of them and it’s still wasn’t enough for me!
The Tom Yam Gung is super savoury and packed with flavours as they are also made with Thai basils and santan with spices which taste exactly how they would in Thailand.
The Mango Sticky rice is heavenly with the rice texture being just right with ripe mango which you can cut in easily and enjoy.
The Sangkaya bread definitely brought my soul on an out-of-body trip as the bread’s super soft sponge-like texture with steam warms it not to mention the santan kaya sauce tasted like a million bucks.
The Somtum’s so scrumptious that a bite of it brings out your inner Thai and you can suddenly withstand the heat and it eat just like that without any condiments as it’s the freshest fruit they’ve used.
The miang pla siakap is to die for with the super sauce and the heaty fish you can dig in and finish all on your own, completely ignoring all of the other humans around you.
All in all, the food is to die for except for the kerang bakar which is so small, so nonexistent that I can barely see it which doesn’t live up to its name as blood cockles are huge in Thailand but other than that, the food is super nice.
Oh, and the plain water is free-flow too and they use super thick plastic cups where you can literally feel the quality, unlike the plastic cups in KL where one accidental squeeze can obliterate it in a blink of an eye with water dripping down to your shoes before it can quench your thirst.
As we know, Siam food includes a lot of soups and sauces, and some restaurants are very stingy when it comes to tissue – Not this restaurant! Here, they have stacks of good quality 2-ply tissue boxes for everyone, you can just take it and focus back on eating.
They really be taking out all your worries especially for ADHD people like yours truly to not worry about anything but to order, order, and order.
Restaurant hygiene is very clean, the ambiance very welcoming, and the parking very spacious albeit the many litters from passers-by on the ground.
Definitely my favourite restaurant in Kota Bharu, I’ve frequented this place 3 times already in the span of 4 days and I’ll definitely recommend it to everyone.
I don’t work at this restaurant, and I don’t live in Kelantan in case you’re wondering, but I’d definitely vouch for the food here – Absolutely divine!
Bon Appetit!

Air sampai. Tunggu jgn minum lagi. Manis diabetes level potong. Have to wait for the ice to melt.
Must try combo miang pla siakap (seabass), kerabu maggi and viet spring roll.
Normally Miang pla Seabass is deep fried but at Restaurant Siam, it is coated with rock salt and put above hot coal. The fish taste was extremely delicious minus fishy smell/taste. What made the delicious meal to the next level was the adding of kerabu maggi. It was a spicy, fresh and flavorful combo match. Hopefully the restaurant could give more salad with miang pla.
Mango sticky rice ada maruah, nasi goreng ikan masin ada maruah.
Overall sedap and will come again.
Next time just plain ice water and w/o steamed bun.
During my visit, ramai orang and service was fast.

Pulut Mangga
My husband and I went there 3 days straight when we were in Kelantan.
We tried different food and all taste are great and the price is really affordable.
We even considered it very cheap with generous serving.
Will definitely come again!
