What can I say? Finally the best Pad kra pao on this island. Even the Tom Yum was fantastic. But the best experience was the kindness of the two wonderful girls who served us. The spartanic Bamboo Ambient did a roundup. You can sit in the couch at the street and watch the people, or in the quiet background. It was a complete and perfekt package of a restaurant visit. Sorry to be the first bad review this restaurant has received but I really am quite annoyed about how poor my food and experience was. First off, the food took between 10-30 minutes to come with the first two meals coming in ten mins and then the others taking over 20 minutes. This meant that half the table had finished when the others got their food. There were two vegetarian dishes, both of which managed to have chicken in them. The Tom yum soup we ordered was genuinely awful. It tasted like tomato powder with hot water in it, and not at all like the soups I’ve had before, and apparently the tofu was really horrible in the vegetarian one. When we went to pay the waiter initially refused to let us pay separately because ‘they didn’t have small change’ (which makes no sense) until the older lady was able to pull out a wad of small change and let us pay separately. I rarely ever leave bad reviews but this just really annoyed me. The first bad food I’ve had in Thailand and I had to get a 7/11 toastie after to actually give me some fullness, because all I’d eaten were the chicken pieces out of my soup.
