A great little coffee shop. I came and got an espresso while I completed a few assignments. They had a decent amount of seating (unfortunately not many outlets that i saw) and a cool interior. They also began roasting the coffee beans in front of us to see. Loved the transparency of the process and it filled the shop with a gorgeous smell!

The upstairs lounge area was cute. Was pretty cool to be able to see where the magic happens. There was some renovations happening while I was there. My dirty chai was alright but the scone I got was pretty amazing.

Sometimes you find a coffee spot that just makes the perfect cup for you…and that was this. The maple cortado for fall was the most perfect specialty drink. The coffee here is top notch, as are the syrups, made in house. They take their stuff very seriously and use the most care. And we’re extremely friendly. Great stop!

I came here in on a whim to try a new place and grab some coffee quick. The initial environment was very.. open concept but cool. You can see right into their roastery and they have an upstairs loft/lounge (currently closed due to maintenance).
Now, the service was excellent, friendly, and fast.
The coffee is absolutely incredible. I had a Colombian latte and was blown away at the flavor complexity and overall quality. I highly recommend this spot, and their prices are totally in line with the quality of product.
Easiest 5/5 I’ve ever given.

Great cortado and amazing coffee beans - light/medium roast - I bought 2 bags of beans - Limited Roast whiskey - aged Nicaraguan is amazing! I wish I had bought a 2nd bag - this is a unique offering that is hard to find elsewhere. The other variety is from Nepal - also hard to find - never seem any coffees from this country before - looking forward to it.
Update: tried the Sapona Coffee from Nepal - this one is impressive as well - perfectly roasted (medium)

my family and i are visiting town to celebrate a birthday, and we wanted to try different coffee places. this was our first stop of the day. i want to preface that we were a bigger group of people and the place was pretty small. before even ordering, we already got a negative vibe from the place. as the nice girl was explaining to us drinks from the menu, a couple of my family members were trying to use the restroom, and the male making coffee yelled at them across the coffee shop that only one person could go back due to it being a health violation. my grandpa can’t hear well, so my dad was trying to explain to him, and he yelled at them again. my dad came back and told them they should have a sign if that’s the case, and the guy aggressively told him “well yeah i guess we should then”. idk if he was in a bad mood or can’t handle being under pressure, but that’s no way to speak to customers. very rude and disrespectful. he even rudely told the nice girl to stop taking orders because he needed help. i totally understand rules being set in place due to health violations, but there’s no reason to aggressively yell and give attitude if that’s the case for your coffee place, especially when you’re not even the owner. it’s unfortunate because the coffee is made well, but all it takes is one experience. so just an FYI, no more than one person can go back near the restroom, otherwise you will be yelled at. hopefully you’ll take our advice to put a sign up.

Have sampled drip coffee at shops around the country & this is some of the best batch/drip brew I’ve had (Ethiopian). Self serve is nice so you get to fill er up exactly how you like. Atmosphere in the seating area is a little awkward/cramped, could use new non fluorescent lighting or maybe lose the wall. Bummed the upstairs was closed. Getting to watch them roast is cool! Came away w plenty of beans.
This has been my favorite coffee spot in Flagstaff since moving here 2 years ago. The coffee is top notch and high quality, but more important to me, is the quality of people. Everyone from the owners to management to the roasters to the baristas have been extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment we've met, making Single Speed my go to spot to kick it.

The most fantastic coffee shop in Flag. Every time we come is a treat. The staff are so friendly and always have great recommendations. Our favorite is the Colombian latte, and Marisa turned us onto the cherry mocha!

Best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Bold statement, but true. I’ve traveled up and down the entire west coast and the Black Eye coffee at Single Speed is the best I’ve had. It’s almost too good. I’ll now wake up each morning dreaming about it, wanting it needing it. I guess I’ll just have to plan more trips though Flagstaff to get more of this liquid black magic. Also the staff is rad.
