Stood in the line for 15 mins to get to the bakery. It was average taste. Tried a combination of some items. I have had better in other bakeries. I felt these were very dry and taste was okay. Atmosphere wise it's on the main street and cool vibes inside. No sitting area just stand in line to get to the counter. Excellent donuts and sweets at a fair price. Employees are friendly and helpful. I paid $18 for 6 items from attached picture. There is no designed parking, but you can park on the street just in front of the store or use a nearby locations. All I can say is WOW! If you’re ever near Poulsbo, Sluys’ Bakery is an absolute must. Fantastic prices, great tasting baked goods, and great customer service! Even when they are slammed with a crowd, the ladies working the counter do not mind answering questions about the baked goods and explaining each one in great detail. Sluys’ also sells bread for a very decent price (try the pizza bread bites!). I wish I could go here everyday and try all of the items they offer! 10/10 recommend! Still the best after all these years. I used to go here daily 15 years ago. Came to visit recently and it's still the best doughnuts anywhere. Custard filled chocolate doughnuts are the correct choice,vut they have all varieties, and breads, cookies, and other pastries. Amazing, and the quality hasn't slipped at all. Everything we ordered was so delicious. They looked and smelled sooooo appetizing. There is usually always a long line but the wait is worth it. You can’t go wrong with any thing you order. They have loaves of specialty bread to go as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The bakery itself is very cute and it’s one of my sister’s favorite places to get baked goods. I got the almond pastry and was not impressed. Mine was dry and oddly flavored like eggnog (I’ve never had an almond pastry with that flavor before so I was surprised). Perhaps they were having an off-day when I visited. Anyone who has been to Poulsbo will know Sluys Poulsbo Bakery. Poulsbo is one of my favorite places to visit from Seattle whenever I want to take a short ferry ride. Sluys Poulsbo Bakery is located in the heart of Poulsbo downtown. There are many free parking options available near the Liberty Bay Waterfront Park. Every time we visit this place, there is a long line of people waiting. While we wait, we get to browse all the bakery items available. Some popular items get sold out pretty quickly. This time, we purchased a Danish donut, rosette, princess squares-date filling, and butterhorn. The rosette has a very crispy texture so it was interesting to try but it wasn't my style. Other bakery items were decent but nothing outstanding to be honest. The funny thing is every time I visit Poulsbo, I always shop at Sluys Poulsbo Bakery even though I know this place is not my favorite or nothing special. Maybe because of the long line of people waiting outside makes me want to shop there again. We got here around 5:15 am to make sure we wouldn't be stuck in a line. Heard a lot of rav reviews, might have overhyped myself about what we were going to experience but everything tastes amazing. We ended up getting a dozen donut variety pack and it did not disappoint. From croissant-donuts, maple bars, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, and Boston creme- it gives a good variety to pick from. Would recommend getting a knife and trying a little bit of everything if you're in a small group. We also picked up some bread. Haven't tried yet but looks delicious! Visually, an inviting bakery. The displays are neat and fresh. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We got a Viking Cup with a cream cheese frosting center, a Date Filled Bear Claw, a Sweedish Almond Pastry, and a Russian Tea Cookie. Everything was so good and fresh.
