Smack Shack is close to where I am and always drives by. Restaurant week was the reason for trying this place out after previewing the lunch menu. I read reviews from others and decided before walking in.
The appetizer, Lobster Guacamole, was freshly made, with fresh elements of tomato and crispy radish slices and chunks of lobster. I did add the Craigs Cry Baby hot sauce as I like dimension.
The Original Lobster Roll was my lunch choice based on reviews and amazed! The succulent lobster in a creamy condiment (guessing mayo based), diced cucumber, and fresh tarragon (a mild licorice taste) stuffed a beautifully buttery, toasted milk bread. The lobster roll stayed together, not messy, and each bite was delightful. I know salt is by choice, but I felt it needed a little flavor boost. I used the same hot sauce to be that for a well constructed roll!
Dessert was not part of the restaurant week lunch menu, but do try their key lime pie! I am guessing the crust was something of a shortbread and a key lime custard to fill it. I love dessert, but not so sweet types. Their key lime pie with a light whip cream on top and a strawberry coulis was a match made in heaven.

Wow, great place!!!
So good. The California Crab Roll I had was delicious. My wife loved the shrimp and grits. Our friends had a Shrimp Po Boy and the Lobster Cordon Bleu Roll. Both were fabulous! I chose the Cheech Spicy Tequila drink and followed it up with the Chong Three Rum Pinapple cocktail.

Shrimp PO Boy
It was our first time here, the service was great, but the food was not good as we thought it would be. We ordered 2 Paella because our server said one dish is for two people (which was wrong by the way) anyways the rice was not dry it was more like a risotto than a Paella and it was extremely salty and quite expensive… our mushrooms were salty as well. We told the team and they replaced just one of my 2 plates of Paella with a new one, we asked him not to put any salt …. but same thing it was salty. We told our server and he just put a sad face with no other solution.
We also ordered clam chowder and it was super tasty. The boiled shrimps were delicious too. it is all I can say. I do not recommend the Paella at all and if you are planning to go to this place please read all the reviews before ordering or going there.

Wow! The lobster mac was insanely good! And if you get a large size, they really mean large. That could easily be a meal for two or sides for four. I'm not a seafood person, I normally can't stand it at all, but the lobster was perfectly tender and savory and when mixed with the cheese sauce, super delicious. There was a salty-sweet crispy cornbread topping which really turned the dish eye-rollingly good.
The servers were all super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and calming. I stopped in for a quick dinner and the mac was ordered and ready very quickly. I want to say I was in and out in under 30 minutes. I didn't have the time (or budget) to get any drinks or desserts but there was an extensive menu and a lot of monthly and happy hour specials that caught my eye. I'll be back to try the rest!
Downside is that this was pretty expensive, the large mac and a soda were $33.

Lobster Mac & Cheese
Excellent spot! The shrimp po boy was outstanding. Crab cakes were super good. Lobster rolls were heaping with claw meat. Shrimp on the bruchetta were huge. Mac & cheese was a bust for us, but apparently its popular. Service was friendly and prompt. Happy Hour specials start at 3pm. Will be back!!

The $5 oyster shooter was incredible. Lobster guacamole is a must! Being an East Coaster it's hard to find fresh seafood that brings back memories of eating down the shore. This place has the freshest seafood and a great selection of drinks. For non-seafood lovers, I've heard the chicken sandwich is a viable option.

Connecticut Style
Food look delicious but it was extremely plain. Waiter and manager did nothing but just offer butter in a to-go box for my lobster, crab legs and shrimp. I am dissatisfied immensely with taste and flavor and expected better because I've came here before. Sprite had no syrup and tasted like water with fizz. Waiter was never around. Seafood was overcooked and rubbery. Why am I paying $130 for food with no flavor. Very mediocre. The place stinks. The manager told me “just put some butter on it”

Happy Hour at Smack Shack is absolutely fantastic. We had a wonderful time, and the food was delicious. The fresh oysters and the lobster rolls were the best I've ever tasted. Personally, I preferred the Connecticut style over the classic one. The addition of the crab cake slider and the moules frites made the experience even more delightful. I found the jumbo shrimp avocado a bit too sour for my liking.
The Happy Hour offerings at Smack Shack provide exceptional value for the quality of food. It's not only a fantastic spot for Happy Hour, but also an excellent choice for Brunch. I was blown away by their Grand Shack Tower, both in terms of decoration and taste—it was a true masterpiece.
The high-quality lobster rolls and fresh oysters have made me a repeat customer. The restaurant's amazing ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, and the service is always super friendly and helpful.
Whether you're looking to hang out with coworkers after work or planning a special date night, Smack Shack is the perfect place to go. The combination of delicious food, great vibes, and excellent service makes it a standout destination.

Absolutely delicious. I have been here several times but always get the Spanish Paella. It really has it all! Jumbo Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, Chicken, Andouille, and Saffron Rice. Seriously one of the best things I have ever had. If oyu enjoy seafood you HAVE to check this place out! Highly recommend the Spanish Paella. The vibe here is so cute too so its perfect for a date night. It looks like I stepped aboard a romantic fishing boat. And every time I have gone there is a live band with jazz music.
