Had a great breakfast. Egg white omelette was perfect and so were the cubed potatoes. We also had two eggs over easy and they came hot. Sausage patties were tasty. Toast was hot too. It's okay. About the best I can say. I got the fried shrimp lunch. The shrimp tasted great, the sides were okay. Didn't really get much shrimp tho not really worth the price for it. That's why I say it's okay. I'm not including the long wait. We immediately got a table but waited like 15+ minutes to get asked what would like to drink and when we did it was from a waitress who apologized for the waitress that was supposed to be helping us. She brought us are drinks and are food later on. The only time we saw are waitress was when it came to paying for the meal. That part was quick. Worst steak I have ever had, and I do not complain. I couldn’t eat it. Tasted like gasoline. I did let them know i couldn’t eat it, so they gave us a 10 percent discount, but then charged us a huge gratuity and it was just myself, my husband and three kids. My daughters seafood bread was cold. There was no seasoning on anything. We won’t be back. Waitress was sweet. The table of teenagers beside us were so uncontrollably loud we couldn’t think and it didn’t seem to concern staff, even when they were using profanity constantly in front of my small children. I decided to follow my gut. This restaurant had only 4 stars (compared to the one in the corner that has more stars and was disappointing), yet we decided to give them a shot. Being over all fries, we decided to order some of their specialities: Po-boy. Being fun of crab cake, I ordered a Crab-cake Po-Boy ($19) and my husband ordered a Grilled shrimp salad ($14). Having a sensitive stomach, the waitress asked me if I prefer regular ranch dressing or cajun ranch dressing. As undecided as I am, she was generous to bring both dressings. The Po-Boy was out of this world, very generous pieces of crabs cake in addition to the zucchini inside. The salad has a good bite, plenty of shrimp that were freshly made, very soft, perfect size for a salad, and the dressing was more than enough (yes I end up having the cajun ranch dressing, very tasty). Who can tell you can have a full meal for less than $15 ! I wish we had this range of price and quality in NY! We sit outside in the porch, near the water, it was a nice breeze and fresh air. We had a nice Sunday lunch at Snapper's Seafood in June, 2023. We decided to eat inside over outside with the view, because inside was air conditioned, and it was 96 degrees out. We were seated quickly and ordered quickly. Our food didn't take all that long to come out. I only had the Crab bisque . The wife has shrimp. The were both good. I helped her a little with hers. The hush puppies were very good. They do charge an extra fee if you pay with a credit card. A note was posted down near the entrance door. But I didn't see or hear anything about it after entering the building. Other than the meal, I noticed a plaque on the wall showing the water line from Hurricane Katrina. It was probably 6 foot up the wall. And we were in a raised building, which would normally be the second or third floor. Anyway, the food was good. The price was reasonable. Sitting outside on the porch probably would have been much nicer with the view. The heat took its toll. But Snapper's is worth a visit.
