We stepped out of our comfort zone and tried a new place for breakfast on a recent trip to Hub City. Southbound was recommended by other family members, and it was amazing. My wife got a bagel breakfast sandwich while I got a hashbrown platter. We both really enjoyed the food as well as the coffee. We will definitely return in the future for more good food and times. I had a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg & cheese and it was unreal! The bagels are soft and so fresh. I also have tried their scallion cream cheese and it is so good! Service was fast, food was amazing, and staff were friendly! It’s the best breakfast place we’ve visited in a minute! The vibes were immaculate from the design to the music playlist. I wish we lived closer to experience the vibes more often! We had the Hub City Hash and everything about it was delicious. Packed with flavor, soft buttery toast, and excellent meat! Ordered two lox with cream cheese bagels. Told the cashier no onions due to stomach ulcers. Told her no onions on both to make things easier. Bagels arrived... Loaded with onions. Wanted to send back, but friend said he would just take them off and pray no stomach issues. Each bagel had about 6 capers and few pieces of diced tomatoes. Other reviewers are right, not the same thing every time. Used to get a whole slice of tomato and serving of capers. Bagel size has shrunk significantly in a year. Lox was fantastic and fresh. This is one of the best breakfast places I've been to. The first time we ever came I really love the charm of the building. The bagels were fantastic I had the Philly omelette and it was so Savory and pretty much everything I want in an omelette. Like I even made plans to come back the next Saturday since I live on the coast. So I'm more than happy to continue coming here. Everything I've had has been great and every Bagel I've tried has been great. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time we came it was packed, so we left. We came back the next day and it was amazing!! They do take a bit long to prepare the food, but everything was delicious. Definitely worth the wait! If you can't find a great breakfast in Hattiesburg, you're doing it wrong. SouthBound is no exception. Bagels are really good. Had Lox on a Salted bagel with a side of grits. Everything was perfect and the atmosphere is a welcome change of pace. Really old diner with tons of charm and a great staff.

I'm sorry, lived In Hattiesburg for a year and never tried this place , today was my first visit here. I will be back. Best I've had dining out in Hattiesburg area. Staff was very friendly, bagels unbelievable. Skip the others and head downtown.
