So often we forget about this place... had a lovely dinner over the weekend. Fresh bread to start and ceaser salad. Steak was prepared perfectly. Twice baked potatoes are so hard to find in restaurants and theirs was great. Warm and cozy ambiance. Multiple rooms so it doesn't get too loud and you can have a private conversation. Old school bar with all options. Known for their Greek food, but lots of American fate options as well. Attentive servers. Appropriate portions. Fair prices. Great for date night, celebration dinner or night out with friends. Upscale and consistent dining. Definitely recommend. What a great Greek restaurant. Our server David was informative and patient as we worked through every course. The atmosphere was very nice but also very loud. Great happy hour deal! 😊 We love this restaurant!! We ordered Souvlaki and Prime rib. Souvlaki with happy hour deal, you get soup/salad, main, beverage and dessert!! We were visiting and took my grandmother here. My husband’s family takes their lamb VERY seriously and he was over the moon about the lamb options. What a delicious place. Mid-afternoon lunch and service was excellent. I had a fresh from the oven lamb shank that is worth making another 350 mile trip to St. Louis, just to eat again. It was incredible! The appetizers were so tasty. Order the stuffed grape leaves! Of course, the cheese stuffed peppers were equally delicious. Even the bread was crazy tasty. I can't wait to go back. Everything at this restaurant was amazing. We didn't have a reservation but managed to get a table as soon as we walked in. I'm going to say that was pure luck because the food and service were impeccable. I had the rack of lamb with scallops and I've never had a better cooked scallop in my life. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were amazing. The rice was fantastic. Our appetizers were unbelievable. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We usually go to the Spiro’s in st. Charles but they weren’t open so we drove to this one. It is a different atmosphere, cozy and darker. The other one is more airy. There was a fireplace nearby. Our server was delightful and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. Steaks were great as was the salad. Great overall experience. Let me start with WOW! I mean WOW! I'm Greek, born into the restaurant business in Detroit. My family is still in several restaurants. I've been to 100s of Greek places throughout the USA and some in other places in the world (including Greece) So I get here and the place is hopping, which you know what that means. I get seated and wait 20 minutes and no waiter....hmmm. I tell the hostess and next thing I know is the GM AND OWNER are all over me, give me a free drink and serve me by themselves. Exactly what you're supposed to do when you kind of screw up. Let's go to the food: Bread - wow, the best I've had in forever. Pure Greek style and right outta the oven Saganaki - 10+, I've never had better. Check out the pics, it's like a cake of Kaserri! Avegolemno - not too much lemon!! Thank you Greek salad - creamy dressing, which I'm not a fan of, but surprisingly good Horiatiki - because the Greek salad was small I ordered it over this. But I then told them to make a small Horiatiki. They did, OMG, perfection Triple platter - moussaka, dolmades and pastitio.what can I say? A home run for all three! It was steaming hot, an underrated important thing. Unique and awesome flavors and even the vegetables were great with a "Greek" flavor. Baklava - I heard it's great and got it togo. I'll have it in the hotel So bottom line, and I'm not Kidding, the best Greek restaurant I've been to in the USA ( I've been to at least 100). Go there if you are in St. Louis!!!!
