I wouldn't know about the food or the atmosphere because we were at the grocery store for over an hour, and the Starbucks barista never came back from his/her "quick break." People were waiting the whole time and very frustrated by the lack of service. We left and went to the Starbucks on Post Rd. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Both employees were outside smoking cigarettes when I came into the entrance. Myself and a few other waiting in line for 3 or 4 minutes with no employees available. Neither employee washed their hands upon returning. The person that made my drink poured it, used the ice, etc, without washing their hands. I took my drink in a rush and never touched it because I was so grossed out. Basic hygeien practices not being met here.

I drifted away from Starbucks and avoided it for years because of multiple reasons however today I stopped into the West Haven Stop and Shop grocery store to grab a few things and had a great conversation with the barista Laura at 6am just after the store opened. This Starbucks was clean, friendly and actually got my name correct.

The workers are handling your orders without any gloves which is poor practice with any fast food anyway, but even worse during this pandemic. I just feel that they're not as concerned for our safety as they should be
