Good evening My mom and I coming in for dinner ! Date 2/13/2024 The guy who was grilled was good He showed us do our place order!! We got our order food was wonderful and we enjoyed our food!! Then Two guys came To order your staff got very loud Specially man( he was tall ) on your drive through He and two came they were talking about things should been on clock and your manager did not say thing he aloud it Made my mom feeling very uncomfortable and upset!! I understand we only customer in there eating but your staff needs watch how they act and what they say things Respect for Elderly And we lift time Steak and Shake Customer!! Everything here is automated now. You order at a kiosk then use the scanner at the fountain drink counter to fill up your drink. People actually cook your food but I remember the good Ole days when a waitress brought Everything to you & filled your drinks. Because you serve yourself it lacks the dining experience that I'm accustomed to. The food was still very good but honestly if I'm serving myself I might as well eat at home. My family ate here Oct 6, 2023 and it was horrible. Took 25 minutes to get 3 meals, hamburger was cool. 2 milkshakes took 50 minutes to get. Got a chili mac to go only to find the chili was burnt. Literally had to cut out of container with a knife. Other family dining there had similar wait times. We'll never go back. I ordered a Reese's chocolate shake add Nutella. I got to the window and got my shake, it sounded like she said peanut butter chocolate, so I asked her, this is Reese's right? She said yes. She lied. I was already having a rough day yesterday. If you didn't understand me, ask some questions instead of lie to my face and ruin my day. I just wanted the right mf milkshake to make my day better. It's too much to ask for obviously. Also their fries are literally the worst of any food chain, so there's that too. I just go for the shakes, and you've ruined that too. Had such a positive experience with a friendly restaurant team at this Steak n Shake. After completing our order I got our drinks. Bumped into a booth and sent my drink flying onto the floor. Asked for a mop to clean things up and the team member at the grill insisted that he help. It also made me notice how incredibly clean the inside of the restaurant is. The kiosk ordering system is efficient and the reduced staff is doing a wonderful job managing a high volume of orders. I'm taking a break from steak n shake. About a month ago when we're in the drive through, we get told "look at the menu," when we already knew what we wanted, and then just didn't get back to us for 10-20 minutes so we left. About a month before that, we came in person and a couple with 8 kids who came in after us get their order before we get ours (1 person order,) then we still had to wait for our shake which was melted because no one bothered to get it out of the kitchen, wouldn't remake it or refund it. Waiting 45 minutes when we were the only customer in the store before the family of 10 came in after us is absurd. While we were doing home rennovations we were coming here a few times a week. I'll give it a try in like 6 months to a year and consider changing my review. Try being reasonable to your regulars next time.
