Place has changed alot !!! Food comes out slower now because of the touch screen for ordering. They get your food wrong more and forget ideas easier because there are no more waitress/waiters to serve you !! Food is still very good but you complain more about what you are missing and whats wrong with your order then try eating your food at this location. Never coming back or recommend !!! The food is good, hot and ready but they never get my order right. I always ask for lettuce tomato and onion on the burgers and I never get it. I also repeat my order and get my order repeated back to me and every time I open the sandwich it never has the toppings I ask for. The dining area was dirty. The bathroom was filthy. The food was horrible (way too greasy and the onion rings were fried extra hard). The best thing was the shakes and one of the 4 orders had hair in it. Nobody has a hair net on. I didn’t want to cause a scene so I left and decided to write a review instead. The ingredients wasn't fresh, the service was slow, they forgot to add the condiments we ask for our sandwiches. The fries were greasy mushy and all stuck together. STEAK & SHAKE of Tinley Park, IL is a fast food franchise located near Harlem Ave. The store was very clean & service limited to workers cooking & preparing the food only. Something new! All ordering is electronic from selecting food choices to payment. There is no need for any interaction between the customer & restaurant staff. Staff works quietly preparing your order & one delegated person calls out your name when it is ready to pick up at a person less counter. This one staff member walks around the store as a concierge asking how your meal is & letting you know if you take an online survey you can qualify for a shake at your follow up visit. Let me start by saying STEAK & SHAKE food has always been good. I however, find the personal touch gone from this franchise. Soft drink machine requires you to hold a bar code from your receipt within 20 seconds of fountain drink fill up. Yet another way to eliminate any personal interaction between person to person. This newer development may be a way for the franchise to be cost effective. I found it impersonal. This may be the wave for future fast food joints or possible the downfall. My first time there was a sad experience, I waited inside for 35 minutes just for one cheeseburger. The floors are sticky (gross) and they need better management. There’s no more cashiers so you have to place your order on a kiosk. I recommend anyone to just go to culver’s. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
