I happen to love the food at Stoney River Steakhouse. I've actually been a fan of their delicious food for years (way back when it was Stoney River Legendary Steaks). Yep, I've been chomping on their delightful food as well as suggesting it for years. I can honestly say I haven't ever had a bad meal there. Nor have my friends and family that I suggested it to. Nothing beats great food and great service. If you have a special occasion, date night , or just want food that's good from start to finish, I suggest Stoney River without hesitation. A definite YUM! I ordered the wedge salad and the regular center cut fillet cooked medium rare and for dessert we shared a crème brûlée. The wedge salad was a little light on the fixings. The portion was a little larger than normal. It came with 2 dressings, blue cheese and an Italian vinaigrette which was tasty. The steak was cooked to medium rare. I like my steak to have a good crust on all sides and this steak didn’t have it which added to the lack of taste. The steak needed to be seasoned properly. I chose asparagus for my side and the stalks were thin and a bit overcooked. The crème brûlée was a larger than normal serving and the custard was very smooth and it had a great taste. The sugar glaze on top was unfortunately super thin. The best food item were the rolls. They were very warm and soft and they had a cinnamon sugar accent. Julia was our server and she was phenomenal. Our table was right next to the bar so when you make reservations make sure you specify you want a table away from the bar. I tried to move tables but I was told they were totally booked even though we saw open tables. Very disappointing. The restaurant is next door to the Drury Inn so there’s plenty of parking available.

My wife and I was celebrating our wedding anniversary and let me tell you something, the service was top notch, out waitress was excellent,it was her first day and she was on it, the food was also delicious,everything we ate had great flavor and was served fresh,we really enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time, the manager was very nice also, will definitely be back Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a girls weekend in Chesterfield and we decided on a nice place for dinner bonus it was attached to our hotel. I enjoyed my prime rib but the creamy garlic whipped potatoes were mostly big chunks of potato and not very creamy. That's my only complaint. Why would you put a couple on date night in the midst of 3 groups that are partying. We couldn't hear each other across the table. There was room on the other side where you had couples seated. Have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed my meal. Unfortunately my Rib Eye last night was mediocre to say the least. The food was cold when it arrived and the meat quality was poor. I asked for it to be reheated of which it was but due to the plate being cold the meal went cold within minutes. Service was great hence I am giving a 3 stars. If it hadn’t I would have given it a 2. For a $250 meal for 2 you’d expect better. High-quality restaurant located in Chesterfield, next to Hyatt hotel. Plenty of parking, large bar area and solid service. I was able to get Friday dinner for four reserved one day in advance, online. They start with freshly-made delicious bread. From starters, I recommend whiskey shrimp. While it is a steakhouse, their seafood menu has so much variety. Our party enjoyed trout and sea bass. I started with lobster bisque, which was great. I find myself here again!! If it were not for my youngest and this being one of his fave places to eat ( 2 items) I would not return!! When you are spending in excess of $500 & up for a meal there are EXPECTATIONS!! Those expectations are what finer dining is about!! You do not have to ask for refills constantly you do not have to wait 20 minutes for a refill for a drink or be extremely cold in an environment where they have no issues charging you!! However the owner and management seem to believe that their service being SUB PAR & LESS THAN EXCEPTIONAL is acceptable!! I am here to inform you it is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! How is it that this restaurant does not have the knowledge to provide assistant servers to back up the main server??!!?? Being that I frequent other establishments that do have the ABILITY to provide excellent service along with their excellent food, I find that this is a definite deal breaker for future visits. It is beyond disappointing that this issue that is fixable CONTINUES to fall on deaf ears and be ignored!! Thank you for your time in reading my reviews.
