This is by far the best Soul Food I have ever had! Pictured below is the Mama Burger and the Catfish Special. The Burger was seasoned perfectly and the fries too! Definitely the best Catfish I’ve ever had and very well breaded! Even the cornbread was perfect my goodness! I loved the Mac and Cheese and everything was made fresh! Open late and these folks are some great good hard working people! Please please stop by and visit them they would be happy to see you! Thank you for such amazing service! “Sum’na Eat” Joplin’s Best Soul Food Restaurant has moved to 3025 S Main St in Joplin, MO. You choose a meat and two sides for $14. If I could leave a higher review, I would! The catfish is phenomenal(best i’ve ever had and i don’t say that lightly) and it’s crispy and perfectly seasoned. The mac n cheese is delicious, the Okra is crispy and flavorful. I’m not a huge fan of cornbread but I could eat this cornbread every day. The homemade hot sauce is amazing as well!! The ooey gooey butter cake is delicious. Not only that but the staff is friendly, the prices are fair especially for the amount of food, and as soon as you walk in it smells like heaven. I will definitely be back to support this small business and I would recommend it to all my friends. I ordered it to go and my food was still hot and crispy when i got home. I had the fried chicken plate with sides of cabbage and rice and gravy. My daughter had the catfish plate with fries and okra. Cornbread came with both meals. Zero complaints about the food. Fantastic. We will definitely eat there again. I think they change their menu every week so I'm excited to watch and see what they have in the future. I absolutely love the atmosphere here. We were greated at the door with a huge welcoming and a smile. They make you feel like family. And the catfish is on point. And the cornbread. My goofy friends and I came up to Joplin and were recommended this place; it couldn't have been a better end to the night. Everyone in the place was kind as can be, and extremely accommodating. Not to mention they were funny and helpful, despite being slammed at 2am. The food was so good I had to buy a second plate to take home; hold me over til next time. The chef came out to the dining area and greeted customers! The ribs were literally falling off the bones and had a terrific flavor. I tried the sweet potato fries, the pork greens, fried chicken, and cornbread. Everything was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
