Surry Diner is a must try! Nice little place! Great service and food! Flounder plate with salad, baked potato and texas toast for $9.25!!!!! Also the shrimp plate for same price! The food is amazing and very hard to beat the price! We really enjoyed eating here and are looking forward to coming back very soon! The sweet tea is the best tea I've had in a long time! Excellent all around! My wife and I stayed in a cabin up the street on our honeymoon road trip. This place is fantastic! Great food. Wonderful people. Might be a hole in the wall in a small, rural town, but these are usually the best places to eat - especially in the rural south! We will be back for sure! Friendly fast service at a small locals' diner. Was expecting better food based on all the good reviews. Flounder sandwich was fine but club was just lunch meat and American cheese with the bacon and toasted bread. Overall, good for a quick bite and convenient to 77 but don't expect too much. Breakfast: food was no good, greasy, eggs scorched and whites not done. First time we have ate there in years, sad to see that it has gone downhill like it has. **The grill had food on the side "keeping warm" grease was running toward it .. grill looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time.
