🌟🌟🌟🌟 Rebel Sushi is a hidden gem in the heart of the city place! 😍 Our experience here was delightful, thanks in large part to our amazing waitress who also dazzled as our bartender 🍹. The sushi chefs truly showcased their skills, crafting each roll with precision and flair. 🍣 The sushi itself was pretty darn good, hitting the spot just right! 🎯 Overall, a fantastic dining experience that we'll definitely be returning for! 👏👏👏 One piece to note, take your time here and experience to food. Rushing is not a strong suit of this location, but with a chill attitude you’ll have an experience to remember. Its one of my fiancees go to sushi places, wich i have never been to. We visited this restaurant recently. While the food was decent with a rating of 3/5, the interior design caught my eye with its pleasing aesthetics. The best dish there was the Kobe cubes, those were amazing. Unfortunately, the customer service left much to be desired, server was rude and unprofessional. Sadly my personal experience was very poor and I'm uncertain if I'll return. This restaurant was amazing. I have not been to a legitimate sushi restaurant in years. Because I feel like they're so hard to find, and this place is legit. I felt like all the prices were fair and the food was absolutely delicious. I am looking forward to returning and trying more. We walked in, and there were 3 hosts staring at us. When the bartender greeted us from thirteen feet away, we then smiled at her and looked at the hosts and said hello, how are you. They then asked us if we had reservations, this was 5:20 PM. ( I know it's Valentine's Day, but it's still early) We said no, looking around at the four people in the restaurant at the time. They stumbled around like it was going to be a problem to seat the two of us for an early dinner. At first impression I thought wow, this place is nice. You gotta have reservations, but after they handed us our dirty menus and gave my partner her drink and a gnat landed on it, I quickly realized it was not a nice place. I thought Wow couldn't afford pesticides and then saw the prices on the menu. We ordered appetizers, some sashimi, and handrolls. The appetizers and shimi came out at the same time, and the hand rolls came out twenty minutes later. I was extremely saddened when I got my sashimi. The portion was very small for $15. But when the hand rolls came out that were $5.50, they had the exact same portion of fish in them as the sashimi. I was extremely upset but ordered another hand roll anyway. After 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to cancel the one hand roll order and get my check and leave. It was a very, very awful experience. The only thing we had to go on for this place was our sweet waitress. Thankfully, she was very good at her job. I wish I could give this sweet place 10 stars!!! Our first time here- the minute we walked in we had amazing service. Lovely staff who smile and treat you like you are the only people there. Our waiter Kelly- was Amazing!!! Helpful, knowledgeable and so personable. We were surprised with a complimentary dessert. One of the best dinners we have ever had. We have been to several sushi restaurants in the woodlands- none of them hold a candle to this one. Let me start out that I always tip 20% even when the service is not the best. The service I experienced was good and the server would have gotten 20%. I’ve been here several times and I recently went with my family of 5 as my son was in town from college. When I got the bill I noticed that the gratuity of 20% had already been added due to having a large party. I was not informed ahead of time that 5 constitutes a large party and have never been charged a large party gratuity when dining with just 5 people. I asked the server about it and told her not to feel bad because I was going to tip her 20% anyway. She said that management makes her do that for parties of 5 or more. To me, I think the whole idea of tipping is stupid, I think the restaurants should just increase their wages to a reasonable wage and just raise the prices accordingly. However, if the restaurants want customers to decide a server’s worth, then allow us to do it. To be fair, I really enjoy the food at this restaurant and my family loves it. It is some of the best sushi I have had in Texas. However, I do feel that the menu is very limited when it comes to raw sushi. It seems to me that the majority of the sushi items has tempura on it. If you enjoy good food, I highly recommend this restaurant, but watch your bill closely so you don’t pay the tip twice. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
5 pieces of sushi for $17. I was so disappointed I wanted to cry. Nothing like the disappointment of a pregnant lady craving sushi. It was good, but I give it one star because 5 little rolls for $17 is not worth it. 😭 I don’t know why they added a tip either since my husband was the one to come pick up and we did not dine in. It was like finding a hidden gem! We had seen this place since it opened but didn’t get around to trying it until today. The service was amazing, it was sad to see that we were the only people sitting for lunch but we figured it was because of July 4th. The miso soup was one of the best ones I’ve had in the area! The dragon roll was delicious and one of my favorite sushi rolls I’ve had in Texas! The salmon plate was also really tasty (I tried some that my dad got). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes sushi Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
In my opinion potato salad should not be part of the Japanese eating experience; I ordered the salmon teriyaki and it was bland. The truffles tuna was okay but I’ve had better at less expensive places. The service was not on par with the ambiance and the price $$$. Lastly, the music was too loud, almost concert like. It wasn’t a good experience and I will not be back or recommend this place even though my office is less than 100 yards away.
