A friend and I decided on sweet as rice one day when our intended lunch spot was closed, what a blessing! The restaurant is clean, the food is delicious and service is amazing. This lovely little restaurant is now mine and hubbys favourite go-to. We get the crispy calamari every time, and are getting so much satisfaction working our way through the menu trying lots of tasty dishes. Totally recommend! Had been here for coffee the other week and the owners were so lovely. Decided to get a takeaway today and the food was delicious. Generous servings I got the crispy noodle dish with chicken. l will have enough leftover for my lunch tomorrow. Lots of nice meat and vegetables. If you want to experience authentic Vietnamese flavors, you should visit Sweet As Rice. The menu is diverse, but the flavors are not mixed…(Should try “banh xeo” and “pho bo” 🤤) I'm very impressed with the service and staff. If you have a specific Vietnamese dish in mind that's not on the menu, suggest it to them. Food is good and well-presented. Salt level is just perfect for me (I don't like too much salt on my food). Glad to see there are good Vietnamese restaurant option available available outside Auckland. There food was good and service was amazing. Try there special or spicy beef noodle soup and summer rolls. Taupo’s Vietnamese restaurant is so bad! Glad that we got a good one in Rotorua. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Went for a random quick lunch. The food was surprisingly delicious! The pork summer rolls were delicious, and the pho 🍜 was served in a unique way - in stone bowl - which kept the soup hot right to the end.
