So I will start with the mini gluten-free cinnamon sugar donuts are good. Light and fluffy. I do wish that they were a classic Fried donut. I was happy to see Macarons. I got lemon and marshmallow. I also got some thumbprint cookies. They were delightful, moist sugar cookies with frosting.
The reason I am only giving this bakery, two stars: The person who I got my macaroons out of the case, picked them up with her gloved hand then placed them in her ungloved hand to ring them up on the register. I had previously watched her handle cash, then my food. I also witnessed her put food from the case directly onto the checkout counter. When the customer requested a new donut, she then put it back and got a new one.
I would say that the gluten-free food was delicious, and I would recommend it.

I was biking the CV trail coming from Red Wing and needed a snack. Sweet Kneads really delivered! I felt like I was in Mayberry! Sweet Kneads gives you the complete, small town, friendly experience with small prices to boot!
I was there fairly early on a Saturday morning and the huge assortment of delicious treats made it hard to choose. I settled on an orange fritter and a cappuccino🤤
They have an area whith tables so you can eat there if you like. Even though the bakery side was busy with lots of local folks stopping by to pick up donuts and pastries, the dining side had just one other person besides me. I was able to sit in the front window and take in all the morning happenings in Cannon Falls.
BTW my total bill was $4.50. Unbelievable!
If you are doing the trail and you are in Cannon Falls you have probably done ten or twenty miles and need some fuel for the return trip. You can either reach in your bike bag for that nasty looking, organic, dried out sticks and berries you packed or treat yourself to Sweet Kneads. You earned and deserve a treat!

I’ve enjoyed this bakery for many years but I will never return because of my last two experiences. The individual working is oddly argumentative and borderline hostile and I’ll be honest, I have no idea how you can be crabby when you’re surrounded by donuts and people coming in to buy them.

The staff is super friendly but I have received 4 donuts over the past month that were still raw in portions on the inside.

Awesome little bakery! I stop 2-3 times a week for their fritters, apple, raspberry, triple berry and mango/pineapple are just some of the flavors I have tried. All just as yummy as the rest!!!

Fresh donuts?? Maybe fresh a day or 2 ago. 2/10 compared to the old hi quality bakery

The old fashioned donut must have been cooked in old oil. It did not taste good and had a horrible aftertaste. Other items were okay, but very overpriced

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We are from out of town and the lady that was running it was working her tail off! She was an absolute delight! I will go back EVERY TIME we are in town! I highly recommend! The customer service is TOP NOTCH! And she remembered us! Live love love! That may have changed hands but they are great! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
