Food always comes out fast, fresh, and perfect every time. Home cooked taste with friendly, polite staff no matter who's working. I am a frequent customer. I have been going to the sweet taste of Italy for 5+ years. The location I originally went to was the one in Crystal, MN. It was 5 minutes away from my house (by vehicle) Dominic (Long ponytail), the owners nephew is just a magnificent human being. Being a huge fan of Italian food I have made it a goal to find the best spaghetti from any restaurant. It has proven difficult. The sweet taste of Italy however is an exception. The spaghetti ranks in my top 3 in 40 years. Tastes great! Meatballs are also good. Portions should leave nobody complaining. The ONLY suggestion I would make is putting garlic or more garlic on the bread. WELL DONE Sweet taste of Italy! I ordered from Uber eats. The price was high only for that reason. I'm a native New Yorker so I'll give a New York style review. I ordered the trio for 2, a meatball sandwich, and the Chicago beef sandwich. The sauce was very good, the food arrived warm, the garlic bread was soft and melted in my mouth. I have accepted that Minnesota is light on the Ricotta but that's state wide. I have nothing bad to say about the meal. The only reason I would give a bad review on this establishment is to see what response I get from the owner. I read a few reviews and his responses were priceless. That's the sign of an Owner who is established and stands behind their food and services. In my 7 years in MN I have found 3 out of 50 places that have an East Coast style pizza so I just may get my chance to bad talk once I try theirs. my bf and i went here today, it was our first time here and i have to say this is gonna be one of our new favorite restaurants! we ordered to eat in and the lady running the front was very sweet and had a wonderful personality. he got the spaghetti with meatballs and i got the mostaccioli. the portions were great for the price and came with 2 drinks and lots of garlic bread! not only that, but it came out promptly after we ordered it, maybe 5 minutes and we saw it was being made fresh on the spot. the pasta was amazing with lots of tasty sauce and the bread was chewy with great garlic flavor! my bf said the meatballs had lots of flavor and were cooked perfectly, contrasting some other places we’ve been to that couldn’t get it right. they were also a great size for the pasta- only needed 2! i accidentally ordered mine with the wrong sauce as i’m a vegetarian and one of the workers was very understanding and remade it for no charge and let us keep the other dish to bring home which was so nice of him! again, it came out very fast and it was fresh. later on, we needed some more boxes so i went up to the front and even though they were busy making orders and helping the line the lady that took our order earlier came up to me to ask if i needed help with anything. the staff was very attentive, caring, and friendly. the food was delicious and fresh plus, inexpensive for the amount you get. i would definitely recommend this place and we’re gonna be coming back! The best! Reasonable prices, great service and their French dressing is the best I have ever had and 90% of the reason I come there ❤️ (the other 10% is for the cheesy bread with meat sauce - just like the Italian Dunkers from school lunch back in the day but better!) . Really good prices considering how much you get, food is great, staff is friendly and helpful with questions/allergies. After ordering, food came out very quickly, was all correct, and hot/cold as required. The cheese bread was really good, and I enjoyed the lasagna a lot as well. The trio would have fed two hungry people, but I ended up wanting to try the chicken parm as well, so leftovers were had (and held up well to reheating later!). Definitely planning to come back! Ive only been to this location once, but i used to eat at their Crystal location, very, very often. The Crystal location has been since shut down, because the building they were renting wouldnt renew(RUDE), so they moved. Same owners, same everything. Their spaghetti is definitely my weakness. Their cheesy bread is great with it. They have some really nice sweets for desert. They have an endless pasta bowl i think? I got the spaghetti, ofcourse, but i do believe theyve said they have others. I always get extra sauce, but only because its tasty enough to eat without the pasta. Cant fill up on sauce though. Anywho, the restaurant atmosphere is always great. Its got a bit of a, i wanna say rustic feel to it? Same design they had at the other place. Their service is always great, and theyre always helpful. Dont stress them, even if they stress you. Theyre worth your patience and respect. They have the best spaghetti you can get from a restaurant. Dont ruin it for me. Not a bad place for a quick bite. The sweet taste part refers to the bread for which I needed to mentally prepare. I love Italian food with crusty garlic bread. This is not that. The ravioli was just ok and my family agreed with the just okay rating on their food as well. If you like sweet bread with your pasta, you’ll like this place.

Just had my lunch at this seemingly modest restaurant and felt compelled to write my review right away. It was just me so I had the liberty to choose what catered to my needs alone. The lady doesn’t appreciate much of Alfredo and I don’t like the Rosa ;) So getting to the point, this place has a clean dining and you need to walk to the counter, place your order, pay for it and get a seat. Somebody brings your order, you eat and you leave the place for someone to clear your plates. The person at the front desk was very nice and as I told him that it was my first time here, he patiently walked me through the options they have under All you can eat and told me what combinations work well. You can either choose a soda or a salad to go along with the pasta/spaghetti/mostaccioli and the garlic bread. The veg salad along with the ranch and a packet of garlic croutons was so good. I followed that with the garlic bread and I must admit that this is the best I’ve ever had. The bread was soft and crunchy at the same time and it was deliciously sweet. I was literally blown away with it and eagerly went for the Alfredo penne pasta. The pasta was a bit of disappointment as it looks that they usually serve only the pasta and I had requested some veggies and could choose only mushroom and onions. The onions being raw was understandable but not the mushrooms. They seemed to have been plucked straight out of a garden and thrown on the pasta. I’m personally against wasting food but had to leave out the mushrooms and the onions as they didn’t sit with the pasta at all. This is the reason for me to rate this place one star less. Nevertheless, they have a lightening quick and a nice service and there could be other dishes which I didn’t get to try that could be out of the world. I’ll definitely get back here to explore more of their menu.
