My cycling buddies have recommended this place, so on Sunday I visited and enjoyed the vegetarian sandwich plus a hot chocolate.

Amazing coffee, got an americano with vanilla and heavy cream. If a coffee shop can make that drink well, it's got good coffee. The inside is so cute and inviting, and outside are fire pits and lots of seating. I'll definitely be trying a boozy coffee next time! The barista was so friendly and kind, loved the atmosphere.

Was in Sherwood for the day and needed to pass some time before a friends wedding. Glad I chose to go to Symposium.
Very friendly and receptive staff. Was greeted and served my drink promptly.
I judge a place by it's drip coffee, and they serve an excellent cup. Very good tasting notes on their medium roast where you can tell they know what they're doing. They also feature a wide variety of sandwiches and breakfast items that looked and smelled excellent.
And gotta love the atmosphere/vibe/decor of this place! Just really cool and homey. Lots of outdoor seating if you want, and a great cozy upstairs loft where I was able to tuck away for a while and get work done. I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

A super cute neighborhood cafe in an old house in the old town part of Sherwood. They converted it so that the first floor is the cafe, with a few small tables and a fireplace, a couple more tables in a separate room with the restroom, and up the stairs there are more tables and big comfy chairs. Plus some patio seating outside for when the weather is nicer.
Drinks are what I would expect coming from CA - $5 lattes, +$1 for alt milks, flavors etc. I had a latte and the espresso was strong. They had some baked goods (e.g., scones and sliced loaf breads). And also make sandwiches on baguette that come with a bag of chips. I had the marionberry scone which looked really promising but was quite dry... so lesson learned.
They get 5 stars because the staff is so lovely and exactly what you would want in a neighborhood cafe. They know their regulars, they are super friendly, want to make you feel at home, and will chit chat as they work. I will definitely come back when I am near there next month!

Nice place in downtown Sherwood.
They have made it accessible even though it is in an old house, which is nice .
Lots of outdoor seating with some shaded. I am not sure about rainy season though.
The avocado toast was delicious.
I would have given 5 stars, except they piled my toast and put all the toppings on one half of one piece. It looked pretty, but then I had to rebuild it with my not fresh hands, and there were not enough tomato and pickled onion for both pieces of toast. I wish I had taken a picture to show you. 😕
Also, the food choices were very limited at the time of day I was there. They did have a gluten-free vegan option if you are into that.

This is a high end sprlecialty coffee shop that puts Starbucks to shame. They have great service, the owners and staff are very knowledgeable. Best of all, they have a great selection of Scotch, whiskey, and other aged liqueurs.
50 minutes to get avocado toast - they told me a salad would take too long. 20 minutes for a chai latte....if I had not paid so much and needed food before going back to work (30 min break) I would have left. Like to support locally owned but will never go back.

Great little coffeehouse in Sherwood. They make an excellent traditional cappuccino and have in house syrups with unique flavors. And yes, they serve whiskey too!!
