The burritos are significantly smaller than they used to be. It almost looks like they thinly spread beans on the tortilla like butter on bread. Every bite is mainly folded over tortilla and ONIONS. For some reason, they’ve started putting 473829% more onions. Why??? I promise no one likes onions this much. There’s so little beans that every bite I take is essentially just onions lightly coated in beans. A crunchy onion burrito. It’s insane. 🤢 And this is coming from someone who normally loves onions. The food was excellent as I had a chicken taco salad that was delicious. It is a normal Roadside restaurant where you order the food and seat yourself. Me and my family have lived on the Mississippi coast, our whole lives. Eating at taco Sombrero was like a weekly ritual! They make their own hot sauce, and the rest of the food is made fresh daily. I can promise that all of this is true when it comes to the quality of the food because I use to own a tomato company. And did business with the restaurant for close to 20 years I was able to see things that most people can’t or not allowed to see. It was one of the cleanest restaurants that I had as a customer and the quality of the food there was outstanding!never any shortcuts The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. I have not been asked, or paid to leave this review. The restaurant is a locally owned establishment unlike Taco Bell that is owned by Pepsi cola. If you ever go to taco Sombrero, you will forget how to spell the word Taco Bell! Give it a try and the hot sauce that they make in house is to die for. They have the best chicken! Anything with chicken will not disappoint. Currently hooked on the white queso chimichanga right now. Beans and rice and yummy too. Salsa bar inside, love it!!!! I have been coming here for over 2 decades and finally decided to do a google review. The food has been consistent in all that time, besides the occasional addition or subtraction on the menu. They serve their style of Mexican food pretty much anyway you would like it. They always serve healthy portions, compared to some other places, and the time from ordering to having what you ordered is always very short. They have an excellent 'dip bar' with sauces, onions, jalapenos, and other items. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, a drive thru, and a smile everytime I have ever been at this location. Recently, a couple of years, we have been blessed with another location in Biloxi and another to soon be opened in the St. Martin/Ocean Springs. They are locally owned and operated so go and give them a try. They would appreciate more business and I believe you will not be disappointed. ALL HAIL THE SOMBRERO.

I live in saucier went up there around 9 on and purchased $45 dollars worth of tacos. Drive all the way home started handing out tacos to my family and realized every single one was beef! I ordered chicken. My family hasn’t eaten beef in two years. I tried to call multiple times, no answer! I drive all the way back over there only to be greeted with a bad attitude by an employee named Amanda. Amanda not only wanted to make a point to let me know I was lucky she was remaking my incorrect order over again but also made it clear she did not need to do that even though it was their error! My receipt even shows CHICKEN! We do not dine here often and after this awful experience we won’t waste our time, gas or energy! Food is always fast, good , hot. We did get there 30 minutes before close. They were ready to shut down. Sorry. But they are one of the only eateries open past 9. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This might be one of the best tex med spots for the money in the continental United States. This is probably what Taco Bell or del taco taste like back when they first came out. You know back when food was actually food and not saw dust or something? I get the macho tacos.
