Everything was fantastic! It's an untouhed slice of authentic Mexico. The salsa's were good and not watered-down like you find everywhere else. I'm glad we live close, and we plan to try everything on this menu. The staff was kind and the restaurant was nice and clean. *We ordered delivery through Uber Eats, and our food came warm, fresh, and delicious. It's nice to watch football on a Sunday and have Birria and Quesabirria delivered. **Dined in this time. Again I will mention that the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had the Quesabirria with consommé, and Tacos de Cabeza. As usual, the food was very fresh and delicious. We love this place! Delicious!! We visited from Canada 🇨🇦 the food was delicious!! It was like we went back to Mexico. I gave service a 4 star because at the end we ordered another round of tacos and it took them 15-20 minutes. It almost seemed like they forgot because we had to remind them we were still waiting. Meat wasn't good. Didn't taste authentic. Avocado was watery, green Chile's was watery, sauce too thick and not savory or fresh tasting! I've had better bria tacos from a taco truck in Dearborn Michigan! Dipping sauce was watery and not flavorful. Total waste of my money!! I’m on a quest to find the best birria in Arizona, and I’ve been wanting to try Obson for a while now. It’s situated on the main drag in quaint Guadalupe, so I was fairly confident it would be good. I ordered three quesabirria tacos and the birria consome, which at $14 is a little on the steep side compared to other birria joints. The tacos were good-sized with plenty of meat in them, although I’d prefer the corn tortillas to be more fried and crunchy and less floppy/soggy. At times they were so slippery I couldn’t hold onto them. But that’s just my personal preference. The consome came out boiling hot. Like crazy hot. Like so hot that I blew for five seconds on just a few milliliters in my spoon and my tongue still feels burnt as I write this review the morning after. The flavor was really good, but I had to wait about 20 minutes before I could enjoy it. On my universal 13 point scale of birria deliciousness, I’d give these tacos a solid 9. They were good tacos, loaded up with onion and cilantro and guac and a dash of lime, but they weren’t the best I’ve had. Definitely satisfying; not mind-blowing. Careful with that red salsa, that stuff is spicy! I may come back and give a burrito or something a try. We’ll see. But there are a lot of places serving up birria these days and, like I said, I’m on a quest. And to be honest, I don’t think it’s okay to charge $2 for a bottle of water from Costco. Literally never have I ever had to buy water at a restaurant in Arizona. I didn’t appreciate that at all. If you’re a birria fan, come by and give it a try and let us know what you think. I got a quesibirria taco and a taco de cabeza which were good. To accompany the quesibirria I ordered a small consomé de birria which was super tasty. The waiter was helpful and all around a good atmosphere. Cebada was delicious. The lemonade was a little too sweet for my taste. Best Birria in the area 👌 Consumé is hot and flavorful, horchata and hamaica made daily, good service. Quesadillas are smaller sized, at least 2 to make a meal, so can be pricey but always worth it for the quality. Haven't had anything here that wasn't great and I've tried most of the menu. My wife and I love to find a little out-of-the-way restaurants when we travel. This one did not disappoint. The small café atmosphere with the excellent authentic Mexican fare were delightful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the homemade aspect of their food was something I’d love to enjoy again if I get back in the area. I’ve ORDERED from here 6 times. Never dined in. My boyfriend and I always order the birria tacos and sometimes order the consume. It has never missed. Everytime I make special requests for my tacos like no onion and they have always been accurate. It’s always quick, fresh, quality ingredients and friendly counter service. 100% recommend.
