We went here twice. First we had pizza and since it was really good (real Italian not like the others) we decided to go again. I think I had the best Lasagna in my life, homemade noodles! And really reasonable prices. Definetily recommend it Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There gets a point when you’ve had enough of the same Morrocan dish and you crave a well-prepared, reasonably priced paste meal in a relaxed ambiance; Maurizio is your place. Maurizio was very close to my Riad, so I went. Seeing that it was full & had earned a good rating here, I bravely walked in for a meal for one. It was perfect. Great service, reasonably priced, perfectly cooked & a flavorful but not overpowering meat ragu for the ricotta filled ravioli. The portion is adequate for a not famished diner but not big enough to share. I noticed that many diners were having pizza. Maurizio is not easy to find but it is centrally located. My GPS had no problem taking to its door. The menu is varied although it looks like the focus is pasta & pizza; perfect for me.

Read the wonderful reviews so we had to go. The pizza was outstanding!!!! We spent 3 weeks in Puglia Italy and this pizza is at the top of the list, including what we ate in Italy. The wine was very good too. They take credit cards. Staff and atmosphere were wonderful. We are goi g back again tonight. The only place I went back to twice! The food is absolutely delicious and authentic, they have very tasty wine and drinks, and the service was stellar. I can't recommend it enough 🤩 I had the pesto linguine and the traditional tortellini, and also tried my dad's vegetarian pizza and his penne arrabiatta. All of it was extremely delicious at a more than fair price. The limoncello I had was also top notch. Don't miss out! The food was absolutely amazing. We decided to risk it and taste their freshly made pasta and it was definitely worth it. The pizza was just perfect and the lasagna was one of the best ones we ever tasted.The service was great and the staff was very friendly. I am giving a 5 star rating mainly because it is the best pizza in Essaouira, and I can add the best in Morocco after traveling in most of the cities of this great country in the last 30 years. Funny fact; the pizza is actually baked outside the restaurant in a 5 quare feet local across the restaurant. Unfortunately, we both selected the pizza, so I can't comment on any appetizers or pasta. They have a big menu so we will probably come back. Service was professional and friendly. Decorated with Italian pictures, a difference with the typical Morocco style if you want a change. Sorry, I forgot two things .... excellent tiramisu, and they do have a good selection of wine to be noted as most of the restaurants don't sell any, and when they do; it is very limited. Best pizza I have had in a loooong time. It is not a lie, it is real Italian cuisine ! The pasta Bolognese is al dente as it should be and so tasty!
