Mixed Experience at Testa Barra
I recently dined at Testa Barra and had a mixed experience. Our server, Hannah, stood out with her helpful nature and delightful personality. She truly enhanced our dining experience. However, the appetizer fell short of expectations. The calamari dish was soaked in oil, which was a bit disappointing. The Brussels dish could use some improvement.
On the bright side, the drinks were okay, and the filet was satisfying with no complaints. Overall, a varied experience with both positives and areas for improvement.

First time dining here, came in to celebrate a birthday. The service was outstanding, thank you Tony. All 5 of us very much enjoyed our dinners; bread, salad, and entrées were all delicious and cooked just right. Looking forward to coming back to try a specialty pizza.

Great food, great wine, great place to eat. We had the lamb shank and beef. Finished both plates. The dragon's tooth stone paired very well. The desserts were also great.

The food was very good. Everyone in my group enjoyed it. Specialty drinks were potent. The filet was cooked perfectly. The sausage soup, I was told, excellent. The Brussels, excellent, sweet potato fries, oh my goodness and calamari, very good. The bolognese was good

I have been here twice now and have not been disappointed either time! Everything from making reservations to the service to the dietary-friendly selection is spectacular! Not to mention the food is to DIE for! My first time here I asked my waiter to compliment the chef and instead she came out herself to talk to our table. Turns out she went to a top culinary school in the country and believe me, you can tell by how delicious the food is! You won’t be disappointed if you choose Testa Barra for your next dinner! (P.S. I’m not someone who normally gets dessert when out at a restaurant, but be sure to get the cheesecake! It’s SO good I’m drooling just thinking about it!)

We have wanted to try Testa Barra for a while based on everyone else's reviews and we finally did. Very clean and modern decor with a high end feel.
We ordered the calamari to start and it was very good. Very different from most other restaurants but the caper sauce and scallions complimented it perfect.
For our main dishes we had the Lobster Angel Hair and the Filet. The Lobster Angel Hair was delicious and had a wonderful cream sauce with the right amount of kick. The filet was a little boring as it didn't have any flavor. Even the zip sauce didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. It didn't taste bad but I would recommend something else.
The cannolis were very good to top off the meal.
Service was great and our waiter was very attentive.
We will definitely be back.

Expensive trendy spot, although it is located in a strip mall. Very pretty inside with modern eclectic decor. Excellent service, beautiful tasty cocktails. However, the food is always subpar. People LOVE this place. I've been there 5 times and can't get a good tasting meal. Chef Gabriella always has a twist on ingredients or recipes that just miss the mark unfortunately. I will say Testa Barra has the best calamari in the area, and their brussel sprout appetizer is also very good (minus the random green cream sauce). I truly wish the meals were better. Lobster pizza was dry, pork marsala tasted gamey, filet was very undercooked, short rib mac & cheese had a strange flavor, brunch wasn't very good either.
The desserts don't even taste good, and dessert is pretty hard to mess up.
I keep trying as I am hopeful, but it might be best to stick with the house bread basket and 2 solid appetizers.

Our server was very polite and informative the cocktails were very well made my wife very much enjoyed her meal with the exception of the cold garlic mashed potatoes we both had and I found my filet to be under seasoned if it was seasoned at all.

It was our first time dinning here. Let me start out first by says our waiter Rob was amazing. Everything he recommended was amazing. The bone marrow appetizer was amazing. I had short rib with mash potatoes melted in your mouth. Amazing place and phenomenal food. We will definitely be back many times.

My go to place to anyone for any special occasion! Everything on the menu I have had is amazing. The “testa dura” cocktail is my favorite. I like the zupa Tuscana soup. For entrees can’t go wrong with the filet, lemon chicken, or salmon! Atmosphere is wonderful. And staff is knowledgeable and polite.
