Went to Texas roadhouse with my bf, his niece and his mom for an early dinner. Since we reached there around 4:30 on a Wednesday, we were able to get their $12.99 early dine. I ordered the herb crusted chicken (a little too salty for me but my bf likes it). We really like the bread though, they’re definitely freshly baked! The service is good too. This is a crazy busy restaurant, even on a Monday night! We were seated fairly quickly, but I didn't appreciate having to slide across a wet bench seat at our table! We ordered drinks that took forever to be delivered. Our sweet waitress apologized 4 times. Our food came soon there after and it was excellent! We just wanted to celebrate my son's birthday, linger over a couple of drinks, and have a decent meal. I had a road kill, and it was cooked perfectly. My baked potato 🥔 was cooked to perfect also. The staff was awesome, and the facility was clean. I liked the music was not too loud. The manager had a very rude attitude. We had a reservation and waited for an hour, because she gave our table away when we were missing 2 of our group of 18 at the time of the reservation. Those two arrived 4 minutes later. My medium rate steak was very rare. I couldn't eat it. This location was disappointing and doesn't compare with my experience at other locations. Listen I'm not usually one to leave a bad review. But it's Friday night at road house I specifically came early got me and the family on the list which includes a baby and a 6 year old who lost a tooth and wanted to celebrate here. I was told 45 min... Typical. The family gets here 45 min later. I go in at 60 min and ask hey whats the deal like we have kiddos is it going to be much longer. I was told that our table had cashed out and it would be 10-15 minutes.... I have now been waiting two hours...... And I really wish they would just be honest like "it's running behind it'll be 2 hours or 30 more minutes" I would've taken the kiddos and gone elsewhere.... Third and final update: This will be my last visit to this Texas Roadhouse. Those that originally told me not to go here were right. My wife and I used to go to the Texas Roadhouse all the time...almost every week...just not this location. I was craving their bread so we went back. Neither of us have ever sent back a meal in our lives. My steak was cooked nearly perfectly but my wife ordered her steak medium rare and it was well done and dry. She really didn't want to send it back but she couldn't eat it and sent it back. The manager came out with a new steak and wanted to wait to make sure it was good. This would have been understandable and appreciated had it been done in an appropriate manner but her tone and words were in a very "you better be happy now" kind of way. It was very awkward. My wife cut into her steak and it was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. It was very rare and cold on the inside. My wife immediately said it was good to get out of the awkward encounter. The manager said, "Good, I'm glad we could make you happy this time and thanks for letting us fix it" and walked away. We figured we would just take it home and cook it properly. Our server was great. He was the best one we had in our 3 visits. He wasn't robotic and scripted like everyone else had been. Food was slow and our app came out at the same time as our meal. It was very busy though. We'll stick to our local steak spots going forward. Update: My wife and I went back last night. No food poisoning this time and the food was good. Between my two times going here I noticed that everyone is very scripted and conversations are forced. It seems to be everyone so it probably comes from management. It makes for very awkward interactions. Management, let your employees be themselves. I was told not to go to this Texas Roadhouse because it's not good and people I know have gotten food poisoning. I went anyways because I love the Texas Roadhouse and have been to other ones a countless amount of times. Well...I got food poisoning. By the time I got home I wasn't feeling good at all. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating. 4 am was when I visited the latrine and basically made that my home for the rest of the day. Almost threw up mid day as well. By about dinner time (maybe a little later) that day, I was feeling fine again but it was a rough day. All the food tasted good. Our server was quite odd and recommended dessert for appetizers. Wonderful experience tonight. Super busy...even at 4:30...a 20 minute wait but the front desk was so organized and quoted an accurate wait time. Not to mention super friendly. Our server, Ethan was equally as friendly and A+ service...I can be extremely picky as I have been in the service industry myself. He repeated our orders back to us before leaving the table and every couse was timed perfectly. The only negative I have would be having been asked if we were interested in dessert even though we were still eating our entree. Though I'm guessing with the wait at the front, management may have told the servers to drop checks. Though we didn't feel rushed, it was a little disappointing to end our dining experience this way. I'm not going to let this ruin my experience though...it was a delicious meal, friendly service and well organized restaurant. We will definitely be back... often!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
