Absolutely loved the food here… if you love Thai food you won’t be disappointed…summer rolls we lovely and so well presented… I had mahi mahi (fish) which was absolutely lovely… also had green Thai curry which tasted really good no complaints what so ever… I will be going back… tasty cocktails too… highly recommend

Hunting for a delicious meal is common place for this Tiger and he definetely knows where to find it in Troncones Mexico. Delicious food is exactly what you will find at this restaurant. As soon as you walk in you get a feeling that you are in Thailand as the atmosphere is both authentic and relaxing. Not sure how this place has any good reviews. We didn't expect authentic thai by any means, but thought we'd enjoy a decent meal. Not only was everything lacking flavor, the chicken was bad (rotten, you could smell it). We explained this to the waiter (the plate removed from the table untouched). By the time we could find the waiter, everyone was done with their meals. They brought the bill with the uneaten, rotten meal still on it. Really disappointing.

After being surprised and delighted to discover there is a Thai restaurant in this small Mexican beach town, we of course had to try a meal there. The natural outdoor setting and decor, along with the quality of the service were both first rate. While the food was not quite up to the quality level of what we were used to in the SF Bay area, it was still quite tasty. The appetizer of a warm mushroom salad was unlike anything we have had before - delicious and definitely recommended. The green curry shrimp dish was fine, but it seemed to be made for a more timid diner. Even with the warnings from the waiter that this was their spiciest curry, it still needed a boost from the picante salsas they provided. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. Our other dish was Pad Thai. Like the curry, this was serviceable, but not memorable. Nevertheless, since we have been living in Mexico for a number of years with no restaurant Thai cuisine available in our town, this was a nice dining experience. One final note is that the cost of dining here is definitely on the high end of the scale for this area.

Shockingly good. 2/4 of us have been to thailand and say this food is on par with authentic Thai. Much better than average thai in the states. The drinks were also incredible and unique. Good happy hour (pad Thai $150 and perhaps the best I’ve ever had), great ambience with live jazz piano Tuesday nights.He played happy birthday for my mom without me asking! The service was phenomenal. 10/10

I’m sure if Thai @ La Siesta keeps serving up yummy food and perfect margaritas it will soon be a Troncones favorite.
