Stopped in based on reviews and glad we did. Our waiter Viriato and his 3 supervisors were great! We allowed Viriato to chose our order for us and it was an awesome variety of asian and Nepal dishes- so good and just the right amount. 4 of us all in with happy hour drinks from 5 pm-7 pm 2 drinks for 10 euros. We showed up at 5 to 7 - ordered two drinks each and they brought them as we needed. 145 euros all in taxes tip etc.... Try it - sitting outside by the ocean. I had a pretty low expectations because I usually got disappointed from ordering their food via delivery (pad Thai, chow mein, fried rice - they were all underseasoned and bland tasting). We decided to stop by the Matosinhos location, previously known as Ondas do Mar. We ordered cauliflower pakora and tosta tofu/mushrooms. They are surprisingly pleasant. Beautiful presentation and have good flavors. The place is by the beach with laid back atmosphere. The bathroom can use some more updating and cleaning. It’s borderline filthy. Dining in is definitely much better than their take-out or delivery. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Came in to try something different and could not be happier with the experience. Great food (sweet and sour pork and chicken thamel were phenomenal), great service, very attentive and very nice atmosphere. Thank you for a great evening, will definitely be coming back! 5 stars fully earned. Food is amazing, staff is courteous and the location is amazing, just a few meters from the beach. I ordered the Thamel thali vegan,mono crocante with veggies and mono vegetariano and they were impeccable and fresh! I highly recommend this place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Honestly such a great place and great experience, the dishes were amazing and the portions make you feel like you’re floating by the time you’ve finished eating. The waiters were AMAZING, such energy and willingness to keep you happy and satisfied, you don’t see this to that extent everywhere. Would definitely eat again at this place, the 5 stars were perfectly earned 🌟

Amazing experience at Thamel Matosinhos! The food (everything we tried on the menu was great) and cocktails (The Thamel with an attitude and Dancing Monk are incredible) are made with so much care, beautiful presentation and the service is the best. They go out of their way to make your evening great, give you recommendations on your likes and dislikes and make sure you leave with a smile.
