We came here for a quick bite to eat. I honestly just don’t think the place was for us. It kind of feels like a dive bar atmosphere with lots of pool tables. My friend got her salad out right away but we waited almost 15 minutes for my Cesar salad.. it was unfortunate when it came out drenched in dressing. I visited the Black Diamond for the second time in my life on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023. My dad and I visited the establishment this most recent time because my car was getting work done at the Discount Tire across the street and it was going to be a couple hours. Just like my previous visit, Black Diamond was clean and inviting. The facility is large with countless pool tables to the left when you walk in but it is also equipped with a nice bar straight ahead and a lounge to the right. So, if you aren’t a billiards player (I am not), you won’t feel awkward visiting Black Diamond as you can enjoy a drink and a meal without feeling like you are the only one not playing pool. This most recent time, my dad and I ordered a round of drinks and enjoyed the chicken nachos. They make them with BBQ sauce and present the dish by dropping the nachos out of a charcoal chimney starter. Our bartender/server was Angelena. She was a lot of fun, attentive, and good at her job. Although I don’t live close by the Black Diamond, I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to returning if I was near the area.

The place is huge with a private banquet room available. Food is very tasty. Service is good. Locals love this place. Two criticisms:. #1 it gets loud when full but I know that's a typical problem, #2 when an order goes to the wrong guest, don't make the other guest wait over an hour to get their food. Ya gotta work something into the que for them. I waited 10 minutes to order a drink and asked for a dinner menu. 15 minutes later I received my drink (was not what I ordered)another 15 minutes later my husband received his drink. I asked for a glass but was told all of them were dirty, when the waitress returned and said she found a glass the bleach smell was so strong it actually made my tomato juice taste like bleach. We decided not to eat there. Walked around and watched some pool players and left. I know they are probably short staffed but the service terrible. My husband wants to give them another try, me I'm not so sure. Could be cleaner. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

One of the best pool halls in Washington state. If you are ever in the Spokane area, it is a must stop. It's at 9614 Sprague Ave. They have many Diamond tables, and are well maintained. The table we played on had consistent rails/bumpers, clean cloth, and was well lit. They have full bar and grill, with classic good food. I had a burger and onion rings that were excellent. The staff are very friendly. Staff were proactive in asking to help, and checking in to determine satisfaction. Also, if you're looking for lessons, Damian Pongpanik is the house pro. His has a very strong game, and has competed at top venues both regional and national, as well as on live events such as FNL Productions (Friday Night Lights Productions). Additionally, he is the founder of Jam Up Apparel. The have both leagues and tournaments. The feel is an upscale sports pool hall, and very clean. They have WiFi, large video screen, clean spacious bathrooms, night club with live music, and more. A diverse set of people and players frequent The Black Diamond. Some of the top players in WA frequent The Black Diamond. The weekends are always lively, and table time prices are very affordable. It is also family friendly. The food here is amazing and the chef often switches it up. The menu is often changing but my favorites have remained, thank goodness...lol The fish and chips is a must try...I guarantee it is like no fish and chips you've had before! And ask for extra tartar. The smoked mac and cheese is the absolute best mac and cheese I have ever tried!! Must, must, must try! Playing darts and shuffleboard here is a lot of fun if you're not into pool. I wish they had more soups and more stout beers, but otherwise...this place is great!! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I had no idea such delicious food was hidden inside an unassuming billiard hall. The setup inside is cool yet classy. It was difficult narrowing down what we wanted to eat as everything looked delectable. We decided to try three of their craft burgers (Black Diamond Burger, Turducken Burger and Buffalo Duck Burger). All of the burgers were scrumptious in their own, unique way. Who would have thought to put stuffing on a burger or that you'd find a buffalo/duck burger in Spokane but surprisingly it all worked together in a tastefully appealing way! Even though all of the burgers tasted wonderful, our favorite was The Black Diamond Burger. I've been on a personal hunt to find the best craft burger in the Spokane and CDA area. It is definitely a must try burger! The Black Diamond Burger is exquisite in its simplicity. You can taste the difference in all of the food because they use high quality, fresh, local ingredients which make all the difference. Our family loves sauces and even their sauces are made from scratch. I appreciate that this establishment uses local ingredients as much as possible to support local businesses. The spinach artichoke dip croquettes and onion rings are a must try as well. You can tell that thought, passion, creativity, effort and talent are put into each dish on their menu. The service was great as well. We look forward to trying The Black Diamond again when we are in the Spokane Valley.

Lots of great eats on the new menu inspired by Chef Larry. I promise this is a spot you’ll want to add to your must visit list ASAP. Each dish is intentionally crafted using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. The flavors were outstanding and there’s something for everyone- from the vegan cauliflower ceviche to the kangaroo burger. Plus drink specials like Micro Mondays and Whiskey Wednesdays. We’ll be back soon!

Well, we have been to Black Diamond numerous times and have gotten used to the slow service(because they under staff), but like pool table access and beer/drink selections. Well, today when we went ,(not busy at all at the time) we were told it was a tournament weekend and she might get busy. We got pool balls and ordered bloody Mary’s. We got our drinks about 20 minutes later. Their bloody Mary’s are excellent! But we decided not to order food because if it takes 20 minutes for a drink…That was a bummer because their mozzarella sticks are so good. They also posted on their doors that they are raising prices due to minimum wage increase. Kind of off putting. Do what you need to do like every other business without the broadcast. I've been coming here every Sunday for the better part of the football season. And I will DEFINITELY be back for the next season. The Black Diamond has a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. The food could be better/more consistent, but their service is where this place shines. Ashtyn and Courtney are both wonderful employees. No matter the need they are always one step ahead and have always been accommodating every time I visit. Thank you Black Diamond!
