I'm very impressed with the Caboose. Great atmosphere, and the owner of the Salty Dog Bistro, Tracy, is one amazing cook. It's bar food, but he isn't running some hippie dippie kitchen. The Cheese steak Sandwich he brought out to me was heaven on a hoagie roll. Full of flavor and I could tell in every bite that Tracy takes pride in the food he prepares. If you're in a hurry and want something quick but delicious, give this place a try. I'm really proud of my former neighbor and friend, Tracy. We went to try Salty Dawg Bistro for a late lunch. Boudin egg rolls were amazing. The ribeye was better than my usual steakhouse. Cuddlefish is Spazzy

I am visiting Houston for a class. Stopped by here for some food. The staff is awesome! Everyone seemed to be in a great mood. The entire establishment is clean with games, TVs, and great food! The food was not only fast. It was also hot, fresh, and damned good! The music was enjoyable. Not too loud to have a conversation. Yet loud enough to enjoy. Drinks are reasonably priced. I loved having burgers when the Male Chef was there. He was awesome and made his own pickles even! Very sad to here he is not there. It was definitely the reason to go there. Will not be going back because the lady that cooked burned all the food Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

It’s just not Henry…. Like I remember. Food is good. Eric the chef is great. Paige was attentive and pretty too. Stopped by on a Tuesday morning and got great service. I'm rating it a 5 bc I got good shots n I got drunk n had fun. It's a hole in the wall bar, nothing fancy but local people having fun n playing darts n drinking. It wasn't full n my husband said the staff n owner were really nice plus they have Google pay which works for me bc I don't even carry my purse anymore. Blink you miss it. On the wrong side of the road. We have passed by for 2 years and today we stopped. Local bar and grill but whoever is the chef there gives a sh*t. I'm telling you that the food here is amazing. Had the fried chicken special, elotes, fried deviled eggs and the boneless wings with the hot honey sauce. 5 stars. Perfectly seasoned and delicious. Affordable! Great atmosphere, The staff and the patrons are amazing. Great spot. See you Wednesday for Steak night! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Edit comment: The owner and his son beat up and fired the cook which was the only reason to come to this nasty hole in the wall ashtray if a place. You can get cheaper and better drinks literally anywhere else and now that they fired the main chef that actually went to culinary arts school and was over qualified for this dump anyways guaranteed the kitchen will go back to its disgusting unsanitary ways.
