Best place to study and catch up in your eating. Usually not very noisy but rarely it gets noisy. Overall it my go to place when I need to study and eat. Because if I go outside I always find myself fighting the bee's off my food
The directions that were given were good until you got to the building and you had to guess. It's a decent place, but don't go there if you want a decent meal. There are vending machines with sodas, snacks, coffee and some premade food. There should be a sign outside that says the cave is inside the building. It was quiet inside , but that was because school didn't start. I rather go somewhere else for a decent meal.
Great place to eat lunch and study with others or if you have noise cancelling headphones. It can get noisy. Open late and has vending machines and microwaves. Does not have silverware or plates so bring your own.
It gets overheated in here pretty quickly and despite the large number of tables there can still be a limited amount of seating. Especially when there is a giant pendulum taking up a corner of the room. All in all it's a great place to get work done most of the time.
Vending machine oh vending machine.
Why are thee so expensive?
In exchange for my buddy Lincoln
You let me have two bites into the frozen White Castle.
Oh just how cold you are.
As cold as the circulating air
That runs through the HVAC
In the fall and winter nights,
When the kiddies would stay up late
Rushing to upload onto the links
On Blackboard just minutes
Before the clock strikes 11:59.
Teas, snuggies, and snots
This is how I will remember
The final's weeks in the well-lit cave
Where I fought internally and contemplate:
To get or not to get,
That Vanilla and Almond Haagen Daz.
And the torment from choosing
Between Snickers bars or Reese's buttercup
With the dollar and chop change
I excavated from my backpack
Amidst the piles of PowerPoint printout from my lectures
Of that soft-spoken, monotonous
Professor who reads off the slides
Which breaks my heart btw.
But this is my dear Cave
Where I stayed in hours on end
From dawn to dawn
Maybe that's why you were named the Cave
Or, was it derived from Plato's?
After all the laborious work
Whence the $26k piece of paper
Printed my name with a new title
Maybe
I will fill the void feeling like did the cavemen in his allegory with the intricate concepts about how life works based on the Wayang my teachers had perpetually shown me
Maybe
I will feel as elated as the rising eastern morning star that emits some ray of hope when I become the 66.1th percentile
Maybe
I will be as proud as a seedling can be that grows in the cracks between the ruthless concrete
Maybe
I will turn my head
And maybe, I will remember the Cave
As the place where I stayed
Before, after, and between classes
Where I took a siesta on the couches
Since I had pulled an all-nighter 3 nights in a row
Where I gave my buddy an earful
About an ant army swarming at the window sill next to where I sat in North Science
I guess this is enough review
At least, these are things I will reminisce about the Cave.
