The day after Thanksgivng was pleasant and uncrowded. We were greeted with a bowl of red clam chowder first.The grilled scallops are always delicious with lemon added and a bit of tartar sauce too. It was served with sides of a cheese potato and cole slaw. Yummy and it is worth the trip! Good, friendly service. Very casual. You are served with all disposable plates and utensils. Must buy a loaf of bread with dinner if you want bread. Only 4 options to pick 2 sides with your main course...rice, potatoes, coleslaw, or sliced tomatoes. Wish there were more options...I don't care for tomatoes nor coleslaw, so that only left me with two starches to choose, so I ordered a side to give hubby. Main courses were delicious! I had Halibut, hubby had deep-fried soft shell crab. A little high priced for what you get, but not too bad. Small counter to order fresh and smoked fish. Bought some smoked Albacore to go. Was not impressed with this place… I can’t quite understand why everything is served on plastic plates with plastic cutlery and cups. Such a waste. The food was meh. No real detectable flavour. I've been dining at the original Newport Beach Crab Cooker since I was a little girl, often requesting the family eat there for my birthday or other special occasions. It's SO nice, despite increased prices, to count on the same delicious quality and good-sized portions of beautiful seafood and sides after 50+ years. I'm not sure what it was but I left feeling not quite satisfied.. The service was fine, the server was friendly, the food was ok/good but not spectacular and the portions were decent. I had the clam chowder, which was the best dish on the menu and the calamari was good too. I don't recommend the shrimp cocktail. I would recommend this place mostly for their availability when other places have a 1-2 hr wait. Would I eat here again? Yes. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Don't usually get to the Tustin Crab 🦀 Cooker, but we did tonight. The ambiance is more like the Newport Beach location than the last time I was there, so I found being there a better experience. The food is always top shelf and I enjoy the relaxed dining conditions. I will try to get there more often. Enjoyable meal 🌺 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Always great fresh seafood. Very good prices. The clam chowder soup is always great is more like a Manhattan chowder. Smoked albacore and salmon very good as well. I wish they get rid of plastic forks and knives a lot of waste for nothing. I have always enjoyed eating at this restaurant. They have good access to free parking being located in a large shopping center. I went recently and had the combination lunch plate with bar-b-que fish, scallops, shrimp and bell peppers and tomato. It comes with a choice of 2 sides. I had garlic cheese mashed and baked potatoes and coleslaw. Everything was cooked properly. My co-worker had the shrimp plate but his shrimp was burned and overcooked. I mentioned it to the waitress and showed it to her and compared my shrimp. She agreed it was overcooked but by now we needed to return to work. I was disappointed with this visit. My family and I go here all the time. We love it! Their clam chowder is delicious!!! Their shrimp and scallop lunch meal is always consistent in flavor and the portion is just right. My kids like their fish meal with rice. Their oysters are always fresh. It has been our go-to spot every time we visit SoCal. Whether in the Tustin location or in Newport. Always leaving satisfied and happy. Thank you Crab Cooker!!!

Nice place. Lots of things to see on the walls. Seafood is ok. Smoked fish has good flavour but texture can be improved. They are a bit hard. They don't have the regular clam chowder, they just have the one with tomato sauce. Staff are nice.
