I went on a Sunday night; it was not busy at the time. They welcomed me in a good way. Checking the menu, I ordered chicken fried rice. After that, the staff looked careless. Fried rice was not up to the level... They didn't provide the rice with chili paste, when I asked, they said they were out of it. The first time I am seeing a restaurant give rice without chili paste... as it is special for seafood, they may be good at it... It was an open space, therefore, it felt hot too. It may be better for foreigners! Although I went after seeing the reviews, overall, it didn't meet my expectations...

The food was one of the best foods we had in Sri Lanka. We had a grilled fish, prawns and a crab. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. From the table you have a nice view over the lagoon. Will definitely go again!

Our first day we visited The Crab for lunch. Excellent for for a small price. Everything was freshly prepared and the had the coldest drinks! Would go there for a second meal!
