Delicious Cuban food! 😋 Food is fresh and hot and made to order. Staff is really pleasant. The Cuban sandwich 🥪 is practically perfect 🥰 The MOJO pork bowl is more of a plate. The pork is delicious and the rice and beans 🫘 have an amazing flavor. The pastries are fantastic 👏 The guava and cheese was our favorite. Don't forget the plantains yummy 😋 so good! Nice little spot. The cuban sandwich was really really good. Like one of the best I've had anywhere other than Florida. The lady was really nice and accommodating. I would visit again if in the area. Maria is SO sweet. Everyone that worked there was so pleasant. We chatted since I am also Cuban coming from Florida. The food is authentic! She has the best guava and cheese pastelitos I have ever had! If you're in the area or driving through, do yourself a favor and stop here!

Wow! This place is fantastic! I'm not just saying it. They are awesome. The shredded port is phenomenal. A lot of places claim to have Cubans but this is Cubano perfecto!!!! It's on a side street. There might be tourists that miss it, but if you're reading this, do yourself a favor and check them out. Super friendly staff to Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were from the Raleigh area and wanted a local establishment for lunch. We stopped by The Cuban Guy and was very impressed. The hospitality was excellent. Ordered a Cubano Sandwich and it was fantastic. Generous sized sandwich, in fact my hubby and I ate half of ours and thought we could have shared but supporting a local business during the pandemic was important so they leftovers were a great thing. The sandwich was warm and cheese gooey, the pickle added a nice bite and the bread nice and crunchy. We can't wait to visit Waynesville again so we can eat here once again. The daughter-in-law chatted and recommended a nearby lake to see and the mother brought us Churros to try that were amazing. I also got a cheese pastry that was the best cream cheese pastry I have ever had. May this business continue to be blessed because their local charm is something often missed in today's world.
