After visiting Hoboken Waterfront Walkway, come here for a meal. Among other Caribbean and Cuban cuisune places to visit, this bar can be one of the best. You have a chance to degust perfectly cooked garlic shrimps, pork roast and pies. Do not leave without tasting good leche flans, churros and coconut ice cream. This place is known for delicious mango mojito, red sangria or beer. It's nice to try great espresso, tea or juice. Invite your soulmate to The Cuban with a wonderful atmosphere. Imagine a combination of tasty dishes and the cheerful staff, this is exactly what this place provides you with. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. Can’t speak highly enough about this place. The server and service was incredible. From the water glasses being full, to ensure the table was cleared in a timely manner without feeling hovered over. Lastly, the food was also tasty and the portions were proportionate (except the rice for the Ropa Vieja, so might want to put more rice n the plate for all the meat). We sat outside and has a great time. Inside the atmosphere is upscale with intimate lighting and Cuban rhythms loud enough to hear, but not over crowd your conversation. This restaurant is pretty cute. I didn't think it was much when we sat down. It was a sultry vibe, and the layout was quite interesting. It had many individual separate rooms, which we weren't aware about until we went to the bathroom, which is on the upper level. The food was honestly quite amazing. At first glance, I wasn't too impressed it looked good, but the flavor is what really sold the restaurant. We got the empanada de Carne, masitas, churrasco, and El clasico. I really enjoyed how the food came with a bunch of sides. It made it quite fun to pick and eat. It's definitely more on the pricier side of hoboken. I visited The Cuban on a Monday night and was surprised by how empty it was. The space is big, it had a seating area by the bar, a back room and another dining area another floor up. I saw that there was a happy hour menu online but was told by the staff that there wasn't a happy hour, even though I got there well before happy hour was supposed to end. I got a Cubano sandwich which was topped with fried onions. Sandwich was filling, warm, with crunchy toasted bread. Other than my disappointment of the happy hour situation, this seems like a nice spot for dinner. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

This place is great! However, really busy during the Friday night rush. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. They have two fooors of seating. It looks small from the outside , but they lead us toward the back and up the stairs and we found a close knit corner to sit; close to other restaurant goers. But that’s just the setup. Our wait staff was super nice! 👍🏼 the food was delicious - the kitchen due to the Friday night rush had a lot of mixed up orders. I got the wrong plate and drink several times. However one of my drinks was on the house :) we had the vaca frita - delicious!! Definitely recommend! We also had plantains and cream of spinach - it’s soup but I used it as a dip! Equally delicous! The Mar y Tierra was cooked to perfection! The potatoes came with a nice smoky flavor .. come any other day of the week for dinner service ! Highly recommend.
