The Dutchman’s Street offers fantastic food with a beach view. You can dine inside or outside, inside dining offering a unique old-world Dutch interior. The restaurant has a large dining area, and the service is good with friendly staff.
The atmosphere is very beautiful. So many photographic places. The service is really good. Tried out the pani dodam, Mongolian rice and the sweet corn soup. The presentation of all the food items were very nice. Mongolian rice didn’t taste that good. But the others were really good.

Very romantic and classic restaurant in the matara town. Their drinks are not up to the level but food is amazing. We have tried Seafood Mongolian Rice , Quesadilla Chicken Teriyaki Rice, Seafood Pizza and veggie platter . Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is great I highly recommend this place for a couple.

The place has a unique atmosphere near the beach. Lots of antique items inside if you’re interested in such items. They had a carom board, checkers board and a dart board inside. Food was ok but their menu is kind of confusing to look at. Prices are fair though. They also have outdoor seating at the beach. We decided to stay inside because it was hot in the afternoon. They had fans inside but no air conditioning for downstairs. No dedicated parking and had to use the roadside parking. There were police officers nearby so I assume it’s safe there.
We had a bride to be celebration there as well. The place can be recommended for small gatherings and definitely a must visit if you’re at Matara.

Me and my wife are very happy to choose this place for an afternoon ice cream and milkshake. Because foods are delicious and the customer service is top notch. And this place is a very beautiful place like a place built for photography. It is a great place to dine freely from the beach front and make memories with your loved ones. Highly Recommended for anyone.

Had been seated for more than 15 mins. No one came to us and then my partner waved the hand to ask one of the waiters to come. At the end, the same incident happened after requesting the bill. Otherwise the food is good.
