A spacious restaurant that is perfect for big group dinners. Menu is simple with a few choices of seafood either for SHELLOUT or GRILLED dishes such as CRABS, PRAWNS, SQUID, LALA, WHITE CLAM, BAMBOO CLAMS, SIHAM, SCALLOP, SLIPPER LOBSTER. There are also a few other noodle and rice dishes as well.
There is a minimum order of 300g of the seafood (400g for crab) with pricing just below RM30 per 300g. You can choose to add on BROCCOLI, CORN, LADY FINGERS or WHITE RICE with additional charges. The sauce choices are SAMBAL or BLACKPEPPER.
Heres what we ordered:
SHELLOUT. We ordered squid, lala and prawns (300g each) cooked in sambal for 2 people which was not as much as it sounds as they include the weight of the shells too. The squid and prawns were very fresh and well cooked. The lala meat was very small but at the time they didn’t have siham which I think would be more worth it. The sambal was not spicy and was very savory and addictive.
NASI GORENG KAMPONG TFW. Fried rice with egg, anchovies, chicken, chili, long beans. The rice had a nice char taste. For below RM9, it’s a decent rice dish that goes really well with the shellout we ordered.
KUEY TIAW GORENG SPECIAL. Seafood kuey tiaw with taugeh and a sunny side up egg. Kuey tiaw texture was chewy and nice and had generous amount of prawns and squid. For the quality and portion its worth the price RM12.
GULA APONG C. A delicious refreshing drink with just apong sugar and milk. It was so good we had to order another one!
Overall, we had a pleasant dinner. Service was very quick, staffs were friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back again!

The service was good. Waiters and waitresses are attentive and bearing. I feel that the hygiene can be improved, some wet spots here and there but I guess it can’t be helped when you have diners eating on tables and kids spilling. I just wished they had consistency in their sauce, because out of 6 visits, I had many occasions where the sauce was watered down. Other than that, you gotta call them prior to coming to ensure you get ketam.
Also it’s a hit and miss with the prawns and bamboo clams. You can taste that sea water when it defrosts in the boiler. So order and hope for the best.

The seafood is rather fresh, but the sambal is the bomb... tastes good! Price a little above average but worth trying ;) best with big group of people..
not so satisfied with the LaLa cause most are not opened! Best to add on more brocolli or corns as they absorb the ‘essence’. Slurps
Whenever you visit Miri, do not leave this town without trying Fisherman's Wharf best menu which is the seafood shellout with SAMBAL sauce. It's sweet & savoury, spicy and rich taste definitely going to make you want to come back & crave for more!
Portion wise & price are affordable. Sambal paste was delicious. Can choose from less spicy to more spicy. You can ask for gloves too. Preferably to make a reservation before you come as it tend to be full.
Very fresh ShellOut in Miri can be found here at The Fisherman Wharf.
Large crabs, prawn, squids. They sell lala, bamboo clam, green mussels and also scallop. Not to mention BBQ stingray and squid!!
Serve no pork. No alcohol. Muslim chefs and waitress :)
Good for family gathering dinner/ lunch, or with friends.
