This is the place you’ve been looking for! When it comes to old-school bakeries, Italian Bakery is the one! Their pastries are phenomenal to say the least, and everyone’s favorite seems to be the Lobster Tail. I haven’t heard a single negative comment about it. In addition, you should definitely try their cannoli, lemon square, cookies, doughnuts, or anything else that catches your eye! However, keep in mind that the demand is high, and products sell out fast. So, do yourself a favor and order ahead if you want to ensure you can sample everything your heart desires. Also, their sandwiches are not to be missed! Italina Bakery is definitely worth the trip!
Come back to a time when the entrepreneurial spirit was still alive and hard working mom and pops kept the town going. Truly a great place with an amazing assortment of pastries, donuts, coffee selections and even prepped lunch options. Their hot and fresh breakfast sandwiches are the best way to start anyone's day.

After years of faithful dedication to this local institution I have seen slow indications of a changing of the guard in the formerly best bakery in the area. The product mix is purposely evolving toward sandwiches with fewer baked goods. While they still make a fine donut and baked good, the cases aren't filled as they used to be. Not a must go to place any longer.

I love coming to The Italian Bakery anytime I'm in Maine visiting family!
The cream horns and bizmarks are my absolute favorite!
The pastry it's self is delicious, light, and crispy. The filling is sweet but not overly sweet. It's a delicious smooth cream filling.
The Bismark is also amazing, the pastry is so light and airy, the cream is amazing and smooth, I love the raspberry filling, but the blueberry is equally delicious!
I have never gotten anything I haven't liked!

This is the go to place for anyone looking for delicious, authentic Italian delicacies as well as delicious sandwiches, breads, and other lunch and dinner options to take out. I am absolutely floored by my visit today (12/23/23). I had pre-ordered a large pastry platter for Christmas. When I picked up the platter....it looked like it had been thrown together quickly with no care.
I would normally just accept the situation as a one time occurrence....as there pastries have been A+ in the past.
Unfortunately, it was made worse by a rude cashier....who was not interested in being polite and rushed me out the door.
As such....I will need to start visiting other bakeries for my future purchases.

I decided to start a new tradition at work. I would buy donuts, muffins, and bagels for my team every Saturday. I thought the best place to go would be the Italian bakery. NOPE!!! Nat the person who was at the counter (won't say the person who helped me because that was the last thing she did). Was rude and made me feel like my questions and ordering were an inconvenience. I was sooo disappointed!! I always loved coming to the Italian Bakery. This experience just ruined it for me. Especially this time of year when everyone should be joyful and happy. Bahhh Humbug Scrooge Nat.

I recently came up from Boston to visit my hometown of Lewiston. Brandon is doing an amazing job. I filled a box of pastries and I devoured the whole thing. It’s impressive the selection they have. This is such a great business for the community. staff was also very friendly and was very helpful.
