The food was fantastic. Best meal we had on the island! Service was also good till the end when we were not given detailed bills and asked to tip. Only to realize they added a gratuity already and in the end received a 40% tip.
Uncertain if the waiter knew what he was doing, as he was quite defensive, but luckily we caught it and the manager corrected it after a little of back and forth.
In the end I say “hi eat here” just insist on a detailed bill.

New England Clam Chowder
Lime Inn used to be a prix fixe restaurant. Now, it’s a land-based version of Lime Out, the floating taco bar in Coral Bay. Like most restaurants in St. John, it’s open to the outside, which means it’s the perfect temperature all the time.
We went in (12/29/23) for a couple margaritas. It was nicely crowded, but everyone was friendly, and some folks moved around so we could sit at the bar together. There’s lovely table seating, as well, but it was fun to sit at the bar and watch the skilled bartenders create their magic! Despite the crowd, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We got the “nene” margarita and the grapefruit margarita. Both were fresh and flavorful. Good pour on the tequila, but very smooth. We split one more of the grapefruit margaritas. We also had a “cowabunga” (braised short rib, blackened shrimp, pickled onions, feta) taco and a “tuna matata” (jerk tuna, pineapple, jicama relish, slaw) taco, whimsically named and delicious. The tacos aren’t cheap ($10 to $14 each), but from a flavor standpoint, they are absolutely worth it. If it was all you were eating, you might want a second, but honestly, there was so much yumminess, we left feeling very satisfied. We’ll definitely go back on our next trip.

The wonderful hostess/owner greeted us warmly and made sure our experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Our kids were exhausted from a full day of St. John fun and feeling picky. They offered to make them off-menu dishes; and while I didn't expect that, it was really appreciated. The tacos were amazing, the cocktails were so refreshing. It was an exceptional experience all around.

Came here two nights in a row, the food was amazing, I imagine there menu changes from time to time, but while I we were visiting I had the wahoo tiradito and the tuna tartar as my starters and the whole fish (snapper) as my meal ending with a brownie and a scoop for dessert, everything was phenomenal. Second night the Chef cooked up some special plates with mahi mahi and black fin tuna we caught (we had talked to him all night and got his approval of this the night before, pics in the review) in addition to the 4 course where I got the hog + the Buffalo (mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto with a balsamic glaze) and the sushi crab tapa with the fillet topped with crab, and key lime pie…Can not say enough how good the food was, add in a couple “the danger’s” cocktails and some 18 year flor de cana rum and the amazing people running this place it was exactly the type of place we needed on this trip. Thank you Lime Inn and especially Amarro and Siobhan!!!

We tried the 4 course tasting menu. Being a vegetarian / vegan, there were at least 2 Options to try from in each course!
Our waiter was attentive / friendly & accommodating. A nice evening out with fancy dinner on the island is a must when on vacation!

Fun food..tacos! Relaxed atmosphere. It is first come, first served...and when we arrived, it was packed. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed but then, it calmed down and was sane.
Food was tasty. Corkage fee very reasonable at $20. (We byob on holiday with great wines from our cellar.)

Nice decor, relaxed environment. There is a parking right next door to the restaurant for paid parking. We did an online reservation so table was ready. No air conditioning inside the restaurant but breeze was plenty. Nice and friendly service, food is decent. Dessert we did not really like. But nothing is perfect, service was alittle slow. Our parking $15 covers 2 hours and their service was slow and pushing the time. Overall nice experience
This was my absolute favorite restaurant on St John. Siobhan was incredible and knows the menu backwards and forwards. Wonderful wine pairing and food well beyond my expectations. Oh yes, we will be back.

The Whole Fish
Best food we had on the island. Great tacos with good flavor and generous portions. Service was fairly shaky, including not being able to get the check right even after two tries, but nonetheless we'd happily go back.
