Great service as always at the Excellence. The food is high quality, the portions are perfect (not too large, not too small), and everything is very tasty without being overly seasoned. All of the dishes are tastefully done to accentuate the flavors of the seafood and also well presented. This one one of our favorite spots to come to at the Excellence: get the lobster and come hungry!

Went to lobster house last day 5/5/23 of a wonderful 1 week vacation at hotel excellence Mayan riviera. Was extremely disappointed. Server Ramon was so rude. Several times suggested a single woman should eat at buffet. I told him I knew what I wanted when I was seated. He said he wouldn’t take my order yet insisted on drink only order —made me wait while he took orders at 2 other tables with couples before me who weren’t ready and he never delivered anything to me or checked back on food. Everything was delivered by someone else. He was horribly rude. Only time in my life I didn’t leave a tip. Food was good, service wasn’t.

First time In Mexico and at an all inclusive resort and this place is a Great spot next to the pool and the ocean is a hop skip jump away. The grilled octopus is fantastic and the lobster tail is great you can order it so many ways. Efraim was our waiter and that guy is the best so attentive and super nice I would go back every night just for the food and service

We had called to see if non-hotel guests could go to the restaurant and were told yes and reservations were not needed, once we arrived we were not allowed in. I tried calling the reception desk and they told us in order to go to the lobster house we had to pay for a day pass. The staff were very unfriendly.

We stayed here 6 days and came to the lobster house 6 times. Every restaurant at the resort is delicious, but the service here is exceptional as well as the food. Christian, Alejandro, Angie, Sixto and other servers who helped us made every experience pleasant and delightful. On our last morning they kept bringing us special juices and food and even gave us a goodbye Panna Cotta. Exceptional. Love this place forever!
