Sweet little The Marigold Cafe (7676 Hillmont), located within an office building that looks non-descript from the outside but is of a very unique design inside. The cafe is run by a wife/husband team, and the dishes feature a delightful Caribbean flair, from the spices used on the fries (frozen, but they are sensational with the spices coating them), the curry in several of the dishes, and offerings such as "Island Spice" pancakes and waffles made with cinnamon and nutmeg.
We went with an excellent bacon cheese burger, cooked fresh to order, and a heaping side of those wonderful spiced fries. The highlight of the meal was the green power smoothie, a potent blend of kale, spinach, mango, banana, pineapple, and ginger. I definitely felt invigorated after that one!
If you are up on the NW side of town, exit off 290 at Hollister, go south to Hillmont, then hang a left till you see this building. This hard-working, kind couple will make you glad you did. "

My husband and I had the waffles and chicken bites! My goodness gracious, it was delicious! Everything is cooked fresh.
The service there is also phenomenal.
The food is delicious, home style fries are crispy and the ingredients nice and fresh. The owners are an absolute delight! The nicest people ever. They’re reasonably priced and right in my building which is super convenient because they’ll even bring your food to your suite for you. It’s hard to complain about this little hidden gem. Definantly recommend to anyone in the building or working near by.
We were on this side of town for business. We did a quick Google search for restaurants nearby and this came up as the closest and had great reviews. I was a bit apprehensive when I saw it was inside an office building but decided to try it anyway... Glad we did. The two people there were so friendly and kind. The man brought the food out to us in the lobby area and we decided to just find a place to eat there instead of in the car. The food was delicious. Those fries. Fresh, hot and most importantly crispy. I don't live in Texas but would consider visiting this lovely little Cafe next time I'm in town. Wish it was a little more of a public Cafe. I would love to sit and enjoy the meal there. I also need to mention that although they had quite a few orders, the man would run around the office building delivering food. I hope the people who get to take advantage of that are grateful!
I absolutely love this place! The owners are amazing and work so hard to make sure you have a great experience. The entire menu is delicious! So much flavor, hospitality, kindness, value, and more! I can’t wait to have my Marigold every week!
My son loves their bacon cheese and egg croissant sandwiches and Cynthia and her husband always makes it perfect for him! I always request for them to go easy on the egg since it's for a picky 3 year old and they never disappoint. I live going there. Their banana muffins are really good too!
O M G the food, the customer service, the overall experience and quality was absolutely outstanding. The food is so good. 😮💨😍😍😍
